Please may I tell you a story about #plasticsurgery history? I am ridiculously excited about something I found today. So, I ordered a cheap-ish copy of this classic text by Harold Gillies, the 'Grandfather' of plastic surgery.

@GongGasGirl I’ve never anaesthetist in either (I’m a surgeon…), but having experienced both versions, a lot now, I’d say NOT having anaesthetic rooms is way more efficient, and possibly even safer.

Are anaesthetic rooms safer? I won’t accept any opinion from anyone who hasn’t anaesthetised patients both in anaesthetic rooms and in the theatre itself …. (Too easy to think the other thing is weird when you’ve never done it…)

Last week, BFIRST Chair, Naveen Cavale together with @BAPRASvoice President, Mani Ragbir spoke at the Caribbean College of Surgeons Meeting in Belize, as a start to building BFIRST partnerships in the Caribbean. This trip is part of the BFIRST scoping visit to Guyana and Belize.
