@MissouriMTG Honestly I can't just pick one someone. When I first moved to Vancouver from Australia I made sure that going to a Commander night was something I did within 48 hrs of getting off the plane. I've made lots of friends here and it helped me decide to stay long term. :)

Update: I just described the process of "fixing" my CV for the ATS bots as "spoonfeed[ing] these dummy droids" and I said what I said.

@SaffronOlive This is it, the kernel of truth that speaks to me on a spiritual level.

Cards that go into every deck diminish the variance that makes Commander fun. The more of these cards Wizards prints, the further Commander moves away from its foundation as the format where you can play whatever castoff cards you love and the less fun it becomes for players.

I mentioned this on stream yesterday, but I think freerunning applying to commanders is an easy example of what is wrong with current Commander design. (1/x)

Having to retool my CV to be read by machines instead of by humans is leaving me a little...resentful. It's also frustrating to see how opaque the ATS process is. And that's to me, with a pretty high digital literacy skill. It's very foreign to me and a new skill set to develop.

@TXLA This apology could be "clearer and more thoughtful" - you did not merely offer "Mr. Tingle the opportunity to participate in a different conference event," but specifically disinivited him, and nowhere is that mentioned. Instead you apologize for offering him an opportunity?

Hey gang, I've been quiet on Herr because I've been settling in Vancouver BC. Here for a week now! Today I'm settled at @VPL 's main branch, using my patriotism to improve my ergonomics (please don't take my librarian associate membership away T_T) #WombatInMooseCountry

I want this to be available in every public library on earth! What an excellent resource for renters at a time where housing insecurity is at an all time high.
