@JordanStauber Is Underthrowing a regime a thing? Feels like he’s better at that.

@BobPeters907 @S78382Sidley @PackersNotes Cignetti makes around $12 mil AAV. $15mil would be a raise.
English

@S78382Sidley @PackersNotes If the Packers can’t afford MLF at $15 mil per year, they can’t afford Cig at $25 mil per year.
English

@PackersNotes Yeah, we must fire the guy that somehow had a top 10 offense this year in almost every metric while having a below average offensive line (constructed by the GM) and injuries at WR all year 👍🏻. Name a better candidate than Matt LaFleur that’s available right now.
English

@JoeArrigo_ The culture of toughness starts with the HMFIC. MLF ain’t it.

The Green Bay #Packers are at a crossroads, and they are already moving forward.
Matt LaFleur is the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. His extension is effectively done, and should be announced at anytime now.
But credit Ed Policy and Brian Gutekunst because leadership doesn’t flinch every time things get uncomfortable. They are stable and logical.
What is changing inside the walls of 1265 is the culture around LaFluer, and it needs to. That starts with tough decisions on the coaching staff.
There will be tough decisions when it comes to Rich Bisaccia, Adam Stenavich, and Luke Butkus...others, too. These moves aren’t personal; they’re necessary for the team to move forward.
For quite some time, this team has lacked consistent toughness, discipline, and accountability, and that starts with the people setting the standards every single day.
The Packers don’t need more “nice” guys. They don’t need more familiarity. They need coaches who demand physicality, who coach details relentlessly, and who hold players, stars included, accountable when the standard isn’t met. They need coaches who breed toughness and edge, not excuses.
LaFleur isn’t being pushed out or emasculated; he’s being empowered by Policy and Gutekunst.
The next phase of the @Packers is about surrounding him with staff that complements his strengths and challenges him when needed. That means adding a strong offensive mind to help manage in-game moments and stress-test decisions. It means rebuilding the offensive line room around toughness and consistency. It means changing the tone in the building.
This isn’t a rebuild. It’s a recalibration.
The Packers’ identity has always been about resilience, physical football, and rising when it matters most. That identity doesn’t disappear; it gets restored by the right leadership.
When the extension gets announced, the staff will get reshaped, and the culture will get tougher.
That’s how Green Bay will move forward.

@RobDemovsky Unserious organization. More interested in the bottom line than winning championships. Sad.

Nothing solidified yet but things leaning toward LaFleur’s return.

Packers now are expected to try to work out a deal in the coming days to keep head coach Matt LaFleur in Green Bay, per sources.

10 Packers Head Coaching Options
• Curt Cignetti (Indiana)
• Jon Gruden (Super Bowl winner, toughness)
• John Harbaugh (Enterprise Leader)
• Mike McDaniel (Talented Offensive Mind)
• Joe Brady (Buffalo’s offensive guru)
• Kliff Kingsburry (Offensive Innovator)
• Klint Kubiak (Seahawks talented OC)
• Anthony Campanile (Jaguars DC, fmr GB)
• A talented protege/right hand man from either Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay
Which do you like best?
English

@VentageArod He has his classic 2 score lead. How do you predict he squanders it. Probably the classic get super conservative in the second half. Lots of 3 & outs to wear out the D before the collapse. Possibly paired with a Special teams blunder?
English

I believe Matt Lafleur is one of the best coaches in the NFL and should not be fired no matter what happens tonight. He has a record of 76-40-1 and has only missed the playoffs once. He is up there with legends like the Harbaugh brothers and Mike Tomlin and Bill Belechick. We were the second seed in the NFC when we started losing our best players to injury. At a 9-7-1 record, we still have a better record than the Panthers so enough with the 7th seed talk. He is a playoff head coach! He will get the Packers that ring someday.

English

@BruceIronsNFL Why did they collapse last year then? No injuries and got boat raced by Philly. Unprepared team as is the norm for MLF teams when they get punched in the mouth.
English

#Packers lost:
Micah Parsons
Devonte Wyatt
Edgerrin Cooper
Tucker Kraft
Zach Tom
Elgton Jenkins (and his backup, and that guy's backup)
Then they lost by 4 in a game where they missed two field goals and an extra point.
I don't know how you look at that and say "Fire LaFleur."
English

@enyawd59 @HellerSports Fine. Let some other organization struggle to be the 7 seed
English

It's real... #Packers Matt LaFeur's job is on the line with the result of this game
English

@mbroetzmann3 @HellerSports How about his offense going totally inept at the start of the second half? 4 straight 3 and outs against a bad defense. Starting to blitz should not be a wrinkle that we can’t overcome
