@Gay_Chr1st1an Happy Resurrection Day! Hope you and yours have had a great Easter and holiday weekend sir!

Happy Resurrection Day!!! Our lord Jesus Christ has indeed risen!
In today’s mass, the Gospel reading covered the resurrection according to John; which can be found in his 20th chapter. I must say that I always get a chuckle when reading John’s narration of this most hallowed event. Take verse 2, for instance, which covers the immediate aftermath of Mary Magdalene discovering that the stone had been removed from the tomb. John mentions how she ran to inform the Apostle Peter and the “other disciple whom Jesus loved”. The “other disciple” was none other than John himself. In verse 4, John then states how both Peter and the “other disciple” (aka John) both ran to Jesus’ tomb. John then felt the need to emphasize that the “other disciple” (aka John) ran faster than Peter, and arrived at the scene well ahead of him. John reiterated this fact in verse 8.
It's a refreshing reminder that the Apostles were human like everyone else; each with their own idiosyncrasies.
Anyhow, I hope you all had a wonderful day!

Here’s today’s write-up on Matthew’s version of the crucifixion of our lord Jesus Christ. As you may know, I’m providing write-ups on select passages of interest, up until Resurrection Day this coming Sunday.
In this particular write-up, we’re focusing on chapter 27, verses 55 and 56. Let’s set the scene. It was at the cross, and our lord Jesus Christ had just drawn His last breath. These verses stated the following:
“There were many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him. Among them were Mary Magdelene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.”
In the first sentence, it states how these women were ministering to Jesus. I was initially thrown by the use of the word “ministering”, as I always equated ministering with evangelizing. I simply couldn’t fathom how anyone could possibly evangelize to Jesus Christ (although I suppose John the Baptist did it to some degree). In any event, I looked up the definition, and it also means to tend to a person’s needs, so that mystery has been cleared up.
The more pressing questions are related to the second sentence. According to this passage it appears that the following three women (amongst other women) were present:
1) Mary Magdelene
2) Mary – mother of James and Joseph
3) Mother of the sons of Zebedee
Here are my comments/questions:
· Why wasn’t Mary the mother of Jesus Christ listed?
· As for the mother of James and Joseph, there are some who believe that this was the sister of Jesus’ mother. Assuming this to be true, this is indeed curious because it would mean that these two sisters would share the same name (in this case Mary). This would also make her Jesus’ aunt, while James and Joseph would be Jesus’ first cousins.
· Following up on the above observation, there are some Protestant denominations who believe this to be the mother of Jesus Christ. Assuming that to be the case, why wouldn’t Matthew refer to her as the mother of Jesus (and James and Joseph for that matter)? It’s also curious that she’s listed after Mary Magdelene. I’m not sure what to think on this one…
· Finally, the third woman is simply referred to as the mother of the sons of Zebedee. Wouldn’t she simply be Zebedee’s wife? Apparently, her name was also Mary; albeit Mary Salome. I must ask, weren’t there other female names during Jesus’ lifetime?
Long story short, I’m not entirely sure who these women were, but obviously it’s not the focal point. That’s rests solely on our lord Jesus Christ!!!
Love you all!

Given all the geopolitical turmoil, I thought this might be the perfect time to get back to the scriptures, as we need to continually focus on our lord Jesus Christ to guide us through this demonic nightmare. In this particular write-up, I’m going to focus on a few curious verses in Mark’s Gospel.
Before going any further, let’s back up and set the scene. It was the evening before the crucifixion, and our lord Jesus Christ had just been arrested by Roman soldiers at the behest of the Sanhedrin in Gethsemane (which is a garden located at the foot of the Mount of Olives). As one can imagine, it was chaotic, confusing and downright horrific. It was so intense that even the apostles abandoned our Lord during this dire moment. In his recount of the event, Mark then felt the need to write the following in verses 51 and 52 from chapter 14:
“And there followed Him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him. And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.”
Needless to say, I’m utterly confused, and have an array of comments and questions listed below.
1) First and foremost, who was this individual? Was he a follower of our lord Jesus Christ? Or perhaps an anonymous stranger who just happened to be in the area?
2) Why was he roaming around late at night wearing nothing but a linen cloth? What exactly was the significance of this linen cloth?
3) Regarding the young men who “laid hold on him”, were these the Roman soldiers? I thought that they were preoccupied arresting our lord Jesus Christ? Why are they bothering with some scantily clad rando?
4) Also, if the linen cloth was all that he was wearing, why leave it behind? One would think that he’d want to keep what little clothing that he had on.
5) Finally, why on Earth did Mark feel the need to add this to the scriptures? On the surface, it seems like such an irrelevant detail.
Anyhow, I just wanted to share my rather ridiculous thoughts on this rather peculiar passage.
Finally, as some of you may know, my account was hacked a few weeks ago. The hacker then sent DMs to my followers, requesting that they vote for me for something (I don't recall the specifics). I lost a number of followers as a result; many of them blocking me. Please know that this was outside of my control, and the issue has been addressed. Hopefully those of you who unfollowed will consider following me again, but I'll certainly understand if not.
Either way, I love you all!

@redtan77 I honestly miss my grandmother's old Oreck commercial bag upright.
She had one of the models that took HEPA certified bags because she had horrible asthma and that thing CLEANED.
When we pulled her carpet up during a remodel there wasn't even dust UNDER the carpet.
