Plea to Kenyan Authorities| I have learnt with sadness that the authorities in #Kenya have had a misunderstanding with one of Africa's leading civil society leaders and pan-African luminary Brian Kagoro @TamukaKagoro77. I think that Kenya as an extremely important country in Africa and Brian Kagoro as a leader who deeply cares about Africa should resolve this issue quickly for mutual benefit and for the benefit of Africa. It cannot be an Africa we want when our systems close out our leaders from different sectors from interacting with each other and our societies. Such unproductive intra-Africa disagreements can only benefit other regions and deprive Africa from benefiting from our diversity and necessary differing views. I therefore plead with the Kenyan authorities to review their decision on Brian Kagoro. @ICJKenya @WMutunga @AfricanJurists @JusticExAfrica eastleighvoice.co.ke/national/30041…

No term extension without a referendum. If leaders want longer terms, they must ask the people — not Parliament alone. Respect the Constitution. Respect the vote. #DefendTheConstitution #NoTo2030

Professor Madhuku is a wise man, and today he outdid himself. He shared this lore: in the rural areas there comes a time when everyone knows, "kuti yave nguva yekurima." The young and the old—maimed and whole, lazy and diligent—all flock to the fields. You won't find anyone at home; you won't find people out seeking company; everyone's hand is on the plough. If you go to the homesteads you will find them empty because "yave nguva yekurima." If someone visits you in the fields, you know something important has happened. There’s no monkeying around during that time. No football. No njuga. You don't need a community leader to inspire action; when the time comes, you simply attend to the task at hand. Good people; with the contemplated constitutional amendment, yave nguva yekurima.

🔸Good day @TembaMliswa, Do you recall your tweet of 21 July 2018 where you said that one of the reasons for Mugabe’s impeachment was his “failure to effectively deal with the @wicknellchivayo matter”? Do you remember questioning why he was being “given more”? My question to you is - do you still believe that the failure to effectively deal with @wicknellchivayo can lead to a supposed president being impeached? We need new leaders.🇿🇼
