If you're one of those lazy, slofhful people like me but you still want to make something for your Thanksgiving celebration that will make the eyeballs of your guests/friends/family roll back in their heads, make sopapilla cheesecake. This recipe was taught to me about 20 years ago by my old friend Jeff Dillard, may he RIP. Jeff's version was filled with equivocations like "you may want to put in less sugar" or "now might be a good time to add in some .." Fortunately, I just found the recipe online i This is it, though I've been making it all this time with only 1/2 a cup of sugar stirred into the cream cheese (step 2). It's too sweet for my taste if you add the whole cup that this recipe calls for. What I do is wait for an hour or two after everybody has ate, then pop this bad boy into the oven. It fills the house with a heavenly aroma. ALSO, I do sprinkle some of the cinnamon/sugar on the top, but I also drizzle a bit of honey. That's just the way I roll. 😄 Ingredients 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls ½ cup melted butter ½ cup white sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly coat a 9x13-inch lasagna dish with cooking spray. Beat cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth; set aside. Unroll the cans of crescent roll dough, and use a rolling pin to shape each sheet into 9x13-inch rectangles. Press one sheet into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Evenly spread cream cheese mixture over dough, then cover with remaining piece of crescent dough, and brush with melted butter. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the top of cheesecake. Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent dough has puffed and turned golden brown, about 30 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

I don't understand what unmarried women are expected to do. Just coast through life, hoping someone will feed and clothe them forever? Or are they allowed to work, but only in a minimum wage job that requires no schooling? Not everyone can just stay with their parents forever.

When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents. In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much. Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death. If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.

I am going to open my next class by talking about Marshawn Kneeland. My children have to see that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you have achieved. Mental health is incredibly important and it can bring you to your knees if you don’t take care of yourself.
