I think if one is trying to figure out if a candidate is sympathetic to Nazis, one of the most important tests is whether the candidate knowingly got a death’s head tattoo signifying an elite, brutal group of SS officers and kept it until the second he wanted to run for Senate and someone noticed. It’s an insult to everyone’s intelligence to suggest otherwise. Sorry, his Medicare thoughts from last week are not permanent body art or absolution.
Jon Favreau@jonfavs

As the community note makes clear, I didn't delete it because I stand by it. But if MAGA world has decided their best play is to insult Mainers' intelligence by trying to fool them into thinking Platner's old tattoo makes him a Nazi sympathizer, best of luck in November!

It’s completely normal to have a rep drop off from set one to two, if you’re pushing yourself sufficiently hard I’ll take it one step further. If you do 3 sets of 10 reps, I can ALL BUT GUARANTEE you didn’t take set one to true task failure

No president has ever been targeted for assassination three times. The level of political violence from the left is historic. We've never seen anything like it in the entire history of this nation. It's a five alarm fire. National emergency. Drastic measures must be taken.

@JohnTheHangman1 @alexaaronlab Cancer is clinically assessed in two ways: grade and stage. Grade is how differentiated the cancer cells are- how abnormal they are. This is progression Stage is how large and widespread it is. Is it 1 cm or 2 or 3? Is it on the top layer of the organ or deeper. This is growth

@rememberthatti2 @alexaaronlab Its two assertions in post. 1) [slowed cancer progression] and 2)[reduced tumor growth by up to 1700%.]. I read the results and am directly responding to the 2nd assertion.

@alexaaronlab Sorta true...but highly exaggerated by bad math. You cannot physically reduce a tumor's size by 1700% (which would be a negative volume). Mathematically, if a tumor is 17 times smaller, it has been reduced by approximately 94% (since it is 1/17th the original size)

@9mmsmg I went from 215 to 184 in 4 months. Month 1 was 1mg, month 2 was 2, and I’ve been on 3mg since. I stop eating halfway through my plate. It’s a wonder drug. I had one day of nausea when I went from 1 to 2, and had sulfur burps twice. AWFUL side effect. Otherwise no issues.

I lowered my dose of retatrutide for a second time. I've said before, in terms if dosing things like this, I shoot for the maximum effective dose that I then weigh against side effects. It's essentially a "is the juice worth the squeeze" question. In terms of reta, I've experienced zero side effects outside sulfur/egg burps if I eat higher fat vs higher carbs. I worked my way up to 6 mg and at that dose, I essentially became anorexic. It was like an eating disorder injection. I was having to force feed myself with greek yogurt and whey protein. A couple of bites of solid food and felt like I was going to explode. Eating became a chore and a rather unenjoyable one at that. I first lowered my dose back to 4mg, and while better and still being able to hit my macro goals, it's still a chore. I eat a child sized plate of food and instantly become stuffed like I just left an all you can eat buffet. I think I may respond to it better than some, but 4mg is too much. If I had a ton of weight to lose, this would be ideal. For my purposes of trying to cut down to sub 10%, I really run the risk of burning a ton of muscle too, even while on test. If I didn't force myself to eat, I'd eat about 400 calories a day and be fine with it. I'm going down to 3 mg and will stay there unless it stops working. I think a lot of people in the studies had major food addictions, because at the 10 mg to 12 mg range some where on, I'd end up weighing 130 lbs. Absolutely amazing peptide. I think I just respond too well to it for that dosage.

I was on a 4-hour flight, aisle seat, front section paid extra specifically so I could get off quickly and avoid the airport stampede. Boarding finishes, we’re settling in, and this woman taps my shoulder. She’s got a toddler on her hip and a husband hovering behind her like emotional support luggage. She asks if I can switch seats so their “little family can sit together.” I look at her seat: middle row, back of the plane. Not even a window. Just… economy suffering. I politely say no, I paid extra for this seat. She immediately shifts tone“It’s just a seat, we’re a family.” Now here’s where it gets interesting. The flight attendant comes over, and instead of backing me up, she tries the classic “let’s find a solution” approach. Suddenly I’m being asked to compromise like I’m in a corporate meeting and not a passenger who planned ahead.

A lot of people don’t know why the build of the VERTICAL Hammer Strength Chest Press Machines isn’t ideal for the Pecs So….allow me to explain it as simply as possible with a few photos: Red circle = axis of rotation Blue line = gravity Purple line = the machine’s arm that’s being moved through space The resistance is highest when the purple arm is most parallel to the ground because that’s when it’s most perpendicular to gravity creating the largest moment arm As the arm becomes more vertical, the moment arm shrinks and the movement gets easier The Pecs have best leverage to move the load in the bottom of the movement when stretched so you would ideally want it to be hardest there and then fall off toward the top where the Triceps have more leverage to move the weight through space Thus, the inherent build of these machines is legit the OPPOSITE of what you’d want for Pecs

@SenWarren Ask him to fund those things directly. Not pay it as tax, where the money will get diluted down between multiple layers of red tape and bureaucracy and never end up funding even a single vial of insulin or meal in Texas

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

Flight delayed on tarmac. Missed our connection. Based on the other flights available, which were also delayed, and the fact that taking a flight tomorrow would require getting back into a security line stretching seemingly for miles, we decided to get a car and drive five hours to our destination. That’s how bad air travel is right now. Driving is faster. Air travel is awful in this country. People don’t realize just how much it sucks unless they have to do it a lot. It’s not just TSA. Flight delays. Air traffic control issues. Service is even worse than usual. Every airport is crowded and slow and worn down and dirty. Everyone brings their dogs. The term “service animal” doesn’t mean anything anymore. Air travel used to be luxurious. People used to wear suits. Working for an airline was prestigious. The employees took it seriously. It sucks now. It’s terrible. This is the kind of thing our leaders should be fixing. Because the most frustrating thing is that it is so eminently fixable. If only anyone bothered to try.
