Great meeting today with the National @mssociety and our own PA-1 constituent advocate, my friend Denise Franklin, whose tireless advocacy has made a real and lasting difference for individuals and families living with MS in our community and across the nation.
Denise and I have been in this fight together for a long time, and I’m grateful to continue working alongside her and the incredible NMSS team to advance the research, innovation, and federal support needed to move us closer to a cure. That means continuing to fight for strong investment through CDMRP and MSRP, supporting progress in biomarker testing and treatment, and making sure the voices of those living with MS continue to be heard in the halls of Congress and beyond.
That same spirit will be on full display here at home on April 26 at our annual MS Walk in Sellersville. Each year, this incredible event brings together families, advocates, and supporters from across our community to raise critical funds, build awareness, and help power the research and support that drive the National MS Society’s mission forward.
As a member of the Congressional Multiple Sclerosis Caucus, I’m proud to continue partnering with Denise and the NMSS team as we keep pushing this fight forward.

Today, our community mourns the loss of one of its truly good men.
For more than 26 years, Bryan Rosica served the children and families of Buckingham Elementary School as a teacher and guidance counselor, where he established the school’s character education program and coined the phrase “Home of the Mighty Knights.” It was more than a motto—it reflected what Bryan believed: that few things matter more than kindness and respect, and that character is formed in the small, daily choices that shape a life.
Bryan did not simply teach those values. He lived them. Even after being diagnosed with ALS in 2020, at just 49 years old, he met that burden with extraordinary courage, grace, and his signature positive spirit—becoming not only a source of strength and inspiration to others, but a powerful advocate in the fight against ALS.
As Co-Chair of the ALS Caucus, I have seen firsthand the cruelty of this disease and the heartbreak it leaves in its wake. I have also seen the extraordinary strength of those who face it. Bryan was one of them, and his life is a reminder of why we must continue this fight with urgency. Working alongside fellow ALS warriors in our community, including Matt Bellina and our late friend Frank Mongiello, we have fought to ensure that patients and families facing terminal illness are met with compassion, support, and every possible measure of hope. And we will continue that fight in Bryan’s honor.
May we come together as a community to pray for his beloved wife, Lisa, their three children, his many students, colleagues, and friends, and for every ALS warrior in our community and across the country. And may we carry Bryan’s memory forward in the way he lived—with kindness, courage, and a heart always turned toward others.

Today, we celebrate a true American icon, a national treasure, and my dear friend, Mae Krier, as she turns 100!
Mae, from Levittown, is one of the original Rosie the Riveters—a woman of extraordinary courage, grit, and patriotism who answered her country’s call at one of the most consequential moments in history. She was part of the generation that helped save the world. But what makes Mae so extraordinary is that her service did not end when the war was won. In the decades since, she has been tireless champion for the women who helped secure that victory, ensuring their story is honored and never forgotten.
At 100 years young, Mae remains the living embodiment of the indomitable “We Can Do It” spirit — strong, graceful, selfless, and unwavering in her love of country. She is not only a witness to history, but a guardian of it. She has spent a lifetime preserving a legacy that America can never afford to lose, and in doing so, inspired generations with her example.
It has been one of the great honors of my life to stand beside Mae in this work. From leading the Rosie The Riveter Congressional Gold Medal Act, to presenting her with that medal on the shores of Normandy on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, to continuing the fight to ensure the Rosies receive the permanent recognition they earned, every step of this journey has been made more meaningful by Mae’s friendship, leadership, and inspiring spirit.
And just yesterday, I introduced HRes 1126 to honor Mae on her 100th birthday—a tribute to her extraordinary life of service and the indomitable spirit she continues to embody today. Mae is proof that one person, with courage, conviction, and an unwavering love of country, can move history, and leave it better than they found it.
Happy 100th Birthday, Mae. You one of the most extraordinary people I have ever had the privilege to know.
Our community, our country, and our world are better because of you.
Here’s to my friend Mae—Happy Birthday, we love you!

There are few moments more meaningful for a community than the chance to thank someone who has spent a lifetime protecting it—and today, we had that chance with Middletown Township Police Department Officer Michael Marks.
For three decades, Mike has embodied the very best of public service — steady, selfless, and deeply committed to protecting our community. Whether serving in the K-9 Unit, as a Field Training Officer, department firearms instructor, or UAS pilot, he led with professionalism, strength, and integrity.
The true measure of Mike’s career is found not only in what he accomplished, but in who he was to this department and community: a mentor, a trusted protector, and a steady presence so many could rely on. Today, as he signed off for the final time, we saluted not only an outstanding officer, but an even better man — one who has left our community safer, stronger, and better.
Please join me in thanking Officer Marks for a truly exemplary career of service to our community, and in wishing him and his family every happiness in this well-earned next chapter.

Each week, we share stories of those who leave a lasting mark on our community. This week, we honor a man whose life was defined not by what he sought, but by what he gave—freely, faithfully, and without pause: Levittown’s own Gerard “Jerry” Galloway, whom we sadly lost last week at 75 years old following a courageous battle with cancer.
Over the years, I had the privilege of getting to know Jerry through his deep involvement in our community. Spend even a few moments with him, and you quickly understood that his kindness was genuine, his faith was guiding, and his sense of purpose ran deep.
The eldest of ten children, Jerry carried with him the values instilled by his parents, Jim and Jane—a deep Catholic faith and a commitment to caring for others that would shape the course of his life.
In 1968, Jerry answered the call to serve our nation, drafted into the United States Army, where he served with honor and distinction. But for Jerry, service was never confined to a single chapter—it was the thread that ran through every part of his life. Following the Army, he pursued degrees in education and psychology, and dedicated his career to serving individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.
His faith was not simply something he believed—it was something he lived. As a lifelong member of my home parish, Queen of the Universe, Jerry brought Holy Communion and companionship to those unable to attend Mass, ensuring no one felt forgotten.
Here in Bucks County, our annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade became a reflection of Jerry himself. Alongside his family, he helped build and sustain a tradition that brought people together in celebration of Irish heritage, faith, and community—something that meant so much to so many families, including my own. Year after year, Jerry carried that tradition forward with pride, warmth, and a deep sense of belonging that made everyone feel part of something bigger.
That was Jerry: steady in his faith, generous in his spirit, and grounded in a quiet strength that made people feel seen, valued, and at home.
Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Edna, his daughters, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him.
For his faith, his service, and the countless lives he touched, Gerard “Jerry” Galloway will always be remembered as a true Hometown Hero.

As a former FBI agent, I know firsthand that FISA Section 702 is one of the most important national security tools we have, and with its expiration quickly approaching, Congress cannot afford to get this wrong.
At today’s @HouseIntel Worldwide Threats hearing, I made clear a fundamental point in this debate: there is a difference between collecting evidence and querying lawfully collected data. Confusing the two gets this issue wrong, creates dangerous consequences, and puts our nation and the American people at risk. A warrant requirement for lawful queries would overwhelm the system and shut down our law enforcement apparatus.
CIA Director Ratcliffe agreed: reforms should be made where necessary, but a warrant requirement is not one of them.

This morning, I joined the Firefighters’ Association of Pennsylvania for their Annual Breakfast on the Hill, as part of our ongoing work with fire service leaders across the Commonwealth, including my longtime friend and partner, Bucks County’s own Stephen McManus, President of Bucks County Chiefs and Firefighters Association.
As Co-Chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus, I’ve always approached this work with a clear understanding that the people doing this job every day should have a direct voice in shaping the policies meant to support
That’s exactly what today was about—discussing the day-to-day realities facing our fire companies and first responders, listening to the experience behind those challenges, and continuing to translate that insight into real policy solutions and stronger support.
Our firefighters, EMS teams, and rescue squads take on extraordinary responsibility every day. They respond in moments of crisis without hesitation and serve our communities with remarkable courage and discipline. They are true heroes, and I will always fight to ensure they have the tools, training, resources, and support they need to do this job safely and effectively.
Thank you to Steve and FASP for your leadership, partnership, and continued advocacy, and to every fire hero in our community and across the country for your service every single day.

In Pennsylvania alone, more than 18,000 Medicare patients rely on dialysis, yet kidney disease remains one of the clearest gaps in our health care system.
For patients with End Stage Renal Disease, treatment is constant—hours of dialysis each week—yet outcomes remain far too poor, with 1 in 11 patients passing away within 30 days of hospital discharge.
At today’s @WaysandMeansGOP Health hearing, I spoke with Dr. Suzanne Watnick, MD, Health Policy Scholar at the American Society of Nephrology, and John Butler, CEO of Akebia Therapeutics, about what’s driving these outcomes and where we need to go from here.
Too often, access to dialysis is uncertain. Too many never make it to transplant. And kidney care continues to lag behind advances in other areas of medicine.
We need to move earlier, treat smarter, and ensure patients never lose access to the care they depend on, including through efforts like my Restore Protections for Dialysis Patients Act.

Always great to be with @firstfiveyears for their annual ABCs of Federal Early Learning and Child Care briefing.
The earliest years form the foundation on which everything else is built. When we invest in a child’s start, we strengthen families, support working parents, and set a stronger course for our communities. That’s the role programs like Head Start play—and why protecting them has been a priority for me.
Last year, when Bucks County’s Head Start funding was put at risk, I moved immediately—working alongside the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and pressing federal decision-makers at every level to make clear what was on the line.
We secured an immediate extension to prevent any disruption in services, followed by a full five-year renewal to provide long-term certainty for families. And today, hundreds of children across our community are learning, growing, and thriving—because that foundation was protected.
High-quality, affordable childcare is one of the most important investments we can make in our families, our workforce, and our future. I’m grateful to FFYF, a longtime partner in this work, as we continue to ensure every child in our community—and across this country—has the strong start they deserve and the opportunity to succeed.

Great meeting today with the Joint Baltic American National Committee and constituent advocates Linda and Elena Harding of Jamison and Vytas Maciunad of Doylestown for an important discussion on support for the Baltic states, continued assistance to Ukraine, and the broader security challenges facing the region.
With strong ties in our community to the Baltics and a shared understanding of what is at stake in the face of continued Russian aggression, this meeting was an important opportunity to align advocacy, constituent perspective, and congressional action.
We discussed the critical importance of strengthening deterrence, reinforcing support for frontline democratic allies, and advancing policy solutions—like my bipartisan Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act—to impose real consequences on Russia, increase pressure as negotiations continue, and help ensure any path to peace is durable, enforceable, and accepted by Ukraine.
Thank you to Linda, Elena, Vytas, and the entire @JBANCchatter team for your important insights—I look forward to continuing our shared mission together.

Thank you @RepBrianFitz for being the driving force behind the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program and for co-chairing the Congressional Watershed Caucus to protect our waterways! #CDRWHillDay

English

If you live in PA-1, you know the Delaware is not just a river.
It is woven into the entire life of our region—our communities, economy, environment, and history. It is part of the very landscape where the American story was shaped, and it remains one of our most vital natural assets today.
The Delaware River Basin supports a $22 billion economy, sustains more than 600,000 jobs, and provides clean drinking water to over 15 million Americans.
And for nearly a decade, the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program has helped protect that legacy—supporting critical projects to improve water quality, restore habitat, and strengthen the resilience of this watershed for the future.
That was the focus of this morning’s briefing with my longtime friends and partners at @DelRivCoalition.
For years, we have worked together in this shared mission, and now Congress must act on my legislation to reauthorize the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program and strengthen the federal partnership needed to preserve this historic watershed for generations to come.
I am deeply grateful for CDRW’s leadership and longtime partnership, and look forward to continuing our work together to protect this vital landmark.

St. Patrick’s Day is so much more than a holiday. It is a celebration of heritage, faith, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a people whose story helped shape our nation and continues to strengthen communities like ours every day.
Across PA-1 this weekend, that spirit was on full display in every parade, gathering, song, and celebration. In the laughter shared, new friendships formed, and generations who came together in pride, we were reminded that St. Patrick’s Day is not only a celebration of Irish heritage, but of community itself.
The Irish story is woven into the American story—of those who came here with little but hope, faced hardship with courage, built lives through hard work and faith, and helped build, defend, and enrich this nation.
A special thank you to our Hibernians brothers and sisters here in PA-1 and across the country for all you do to preserve and carry forward that proud legacy.
As a proud Friend of Ireland and descendant of Irish immigrants, I was honored to introduce legislation to designate St. Patrick’s Day as a federal holiday—a fitting tribute to the lasting contributions of the Irish people to the American story.
Today, we celebrate a people, a legacy, and a spirit that continues to inspire.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀🇺🇸🇮🇪

Join me in congratulating Nolan Scheller of Troop 139, from Warminster, on earning the rank of Eagle Scout!
For his Eagle Scout project, Nolan designed and constructed birdhouses at the historic Moland House in Bucks County—an important Revolutionary War site in Warwick Township where General George Washington established his headquarters in 1777. Nolan’s work creating new wildlife habitat both enhances the grounds and helps steward a landmark connected to the very founding of our nation.
Congratulations, Nolan—and thank you to the entire PA-1 Scouting community for continuing to instill the values of service, responsibility, and leadership in our next generation.

What a special evening celebrating with friends of many faiths and backgrounds at last night’s Ramadan Iftar dinner in Bensalem.
Ramadan is a sacred season of reflection, fellowship, and gratitude, and gatherings like this carry a special meaning—bringing friends and neighbors together, sharing and learning from one another’s faiths and traditions, and reflecting the unity, respect, and appreciation for diversity that strengthen and enrich our community.
My sincere thanks to my dear friends Dr. Umar Farooq, Dr. Iftikhar Chaudhry, and Muhammad Shafiq for inviting me to be part of this incredible night, and for the many ways you uplift our community. Ramadan Mubarak!

This weekend, we joined our community at Bhartiya Temple in Montgomeryville to celebrate the 19th Gangaur Mahotsav—a truly special evening honoring the traditions of Rajasthan, one of India’s most vibrant regions.
Gangaur reflects themes of love, unity, and the coming together of communities—values that resonate far beyond any one place and remind us how traditions carried across generations continue to strengthen the communities we call home.
Thanks to the dedication of PARAM (Philadelphia Rajasthani Mandal), what began as a small celebration has grown into one of the most meaningful gatherings of the Rajasthani community in all of North America.
My sincere thanks to PARAM President Dr. Ravi Murarka, and to every member and family for welcoming us to be part of this incredible and historic celebration, and for the many ways you continue to enrich and strengthen our community.
