Meet the Co-Chairs of the Problem Solvers Caucus! @RepBrianFitz and @RepTomSuozzi are breaking the partisan gridlock in Washington. Together, they’re focused on finding common ground and delivering meaningful results for the American people. The Problem Solvers are here to get things done — that only happens when we work together.

America works best when leaders put solutions over politics. The Dignity Act is proof that we can secure the border, enforce the law, and still come together to fix a broken system the right way.

Federal interest payments are projected to reach $1.0 trillion in 2026 — more than doubling from $476 billion in 2022. That makes interest one of the fastest-growing parts of the federal budget — crowding out investments that could help lower costs for American families. The Problem Solvers Caucus remains committed to establishing a bipartisan fiscal commission to put our fiscal future on a more sustainable path. pgpf.org/programs-and-p…

The endorsement from the @ProbSolveCaucus marks a major breakthrough for the Dignity Act and for serious bipartisan immigration reform. Proud to work alongside @RepScholten as we continue moving this conversation, this issue, and this country forward.

The Problem Solvers Caucus officially endorsed the bipartisan Dignity Act to secure our border, modernize our immigration system, and provide a practical path forward for our country. At a time when immigration is too often treated as a political weapon, this endorsement reflects a growing bipartisan push to actually solve the problem.

The Problem Solvers Caucus is proud to announce its endorsement of the Dignity Act, bipartisan legislation to permanently secure the border and fix our broken immigration system. The bill would bolster border security, modernize the asylum system, and create legal pathways for certain law-abiding undocumented immigrants — all while protecting American workers and reducing the national debt by up to $50 billion. Thank you @RepMariaSalazar and @RepScholten for championing this commonsense legislation!

As a High School student in New York in the days and months following September 11th, I remember first hearing the story of a man who had continuously climbed back into the towers to rescue survivors and was only identifiable by the red bandana he was wearing. As it turned out, that man was Welles Crowther, a 24-year-old volunteer firefighter from Rockland County and recent @BC_Mens_Lax graduate who worked in the World Trade Center's South Tower. In the 25th year since September 11th and America’s 250th anniversary, Welles represents the very best of New York and is the perfect example of true volunteerism, someone who laid down his life for his neighbors, embodying the highest ideals of service. Thank you to @ProbSolveCaucus for their endorsement of this legislation to ensure his legacy continues to inspire future generations.

The Problem Solvers Caucus is proud to endorse the Welles Remy Crowther Congressional Gold Medal Act, bipartisan legislation to posthumously award one of the highest civilian honors to Welles Remy Crowther — “the Man in the Red Bandana” — in recognition of his heroism during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. We thank @RepMikeLawler and @RepTomSuozzi for leading this endorsement.

It shouldn’t take Wonder Woman getting involved for America to recognize the women who shaped our history. At @NBCNews Common Ground event, @RepNicole and @RepDebDingell highlighted their bipartisan, PSC-endorsed legislation to establish the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum on the National Mall. Honoring the contributions of American women should never be a partisan issue. Thank you to @RealLyndaCarter for helping champion this effort.

.@USCBO forecasts deficits of $1.9 trillion in 2026, growing to $3.1 trillion by 2036, which will lead to higher interest rates and greater expenses for families. Our Fiscal Stability Agenda aims to put our country on a more sustainable financial path. cbo.gov/publication/61…

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick 🇺🇸
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick 🇺🇸@RepBrianFitz·
Today, the House passed my bipartisan legislation with @RepJimmyPanetta, the Supporting Early Childhood Educators’ Deductions Act, or SEED Act—a commonsense bill to correct an unfair gap in the tax code and support the educators helping our youngest learners build a strong foundation. The SEED Act extends the existing educator expense deduction to early childhood educators, allowing them to deduct out-of-pocket classroom expenses just as K-12 teachers can. In working with the incredible childhood educators in our community, I have seen firsthand how much they pour into their classrooms—their time, care, dedication, and too often, their own money—to ensure our children have what they need to learn and grow. When we support early childhood educators, we support children, families, and the future workforce they help prepare. The House has acted. Now the Senate should join us in standing with the teachers of our nation and getting this across the finish line. 🔗 Learn more about the bill here: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2026/4/fitzpat…

We cannot talk seriously about labor shortages and affordability without talking about immigration. Immigrants comprise approximately one-fifth of the U.S. labor force and there is a drastic reduction in those temporarily authorized to work—American workers are often unable to make up the difference. The Problem Solvers remain committed to addressing our broken immigration system. forumtogether.org/article/u-s-wo…

Governing should never be an all or nothing approach. @RepNicole and @RepDebDingell joined @NBCNews’ Common Ground initiative for a conversation on the importance of building consensus in a Congress where the loudest voices are often the most extreme.

An event centered around the First Amendment, a free press, and our democratic institutions — one where people from across the political spectrum come together in support of those freedoms — was disrupted by gunfire last night. No disagreement in this country should ever escalate into violence, and no one’s views should threaten their safety. We can debate passionately without undermining the freedoms and values that define our great nation. We are grateful for the swift response from the Secret Service and law enforcement. Moments like this are a reminder that leaders across the political spectrum must continue working to lower the temperature in our politics and condemn violence of any kind.

We hope to get to a point where our Caucus is no longer needed and Congress as a whole is seen as “Problem Solvers.” For now, we will continue to be the adults in the room and advocate for the commonsense policies a majority of Americans support.

Protecting the environment should not be a partisan issue, but a shared responsibility that we all take seriously. This Congress, we have been proud to partner with the @Climate_Caucus and the Climate Solutions Caucus to advance practical policies that streamline permitting while maintaining strong environmental protections and accelerating clean energy projects. Today and every day, we are committed to working across party lines to protect our planet. Happy Earth Day!

One-third of Americans say they or a family member have cut back on food, utilities, or other basics to pay for health care. That is why health care affordability is at the core of our Affordability Agenda. news.gallup.com/poll/702596/on…

Interest costs are on track to become one of the largest federal expenses in the coming years. That’s why the Problem Solvers Caucus is focused on long-term, bipartisan solutions—such as a bipartisan, bicameral fiscal commission—to help put Congress on a more sustainable fiscal path. cbo.gov/publication/62…
