With Judaism therefore we have a relationship which we do not have with any other religion. You are our dearly beloved brothers and, in a certain way, you are our elder brothers. On the basis of this brotherhood renewed by Christ, the Church rejects every form of discrimination and anti-Semitism. She condemns them as contrary to the very spirit of Christianity. She deplores all hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism directed against the Jews at any time and by anyone.... The covenant between God and the Jewish people has never been revoked. 'The gifts and the call of God are irrevocable' (Rom 11:29).

The Department of Homeland Security has now been shut down for 35 days. Senate Democrats just blocked Republicans from funding DHS for a fifth time. I’ve reminded my colleagues countless times that no one benefits from government shutdowns. For the sake of America’s national security and the well-being of so many government employees not receiving a paycheck, I hope Democrats will end this partisan endeavor soon.

@SenFettermanPA Senator Fetterman, the Republicans control all 3 branches. Democrats have introduced a bill 7 times, to pay TSA. The bill includes necessary guardrails for ICE. The question is, why are YOU voting NO against funding TSA??

This is incredibly generous. TSA agents across the country are relying on food pantries and community donations just to get by. I remain the lone Dem to vote with my Republican colleagues to fully fund DHS and get people paid. It should never come to this point.

@_TokyoMarie_ There’s a difference between voter ID and proving citizenship when registering to vote. The first is popular, the second is hitting challenges in senate.

@RepDonBacon After reading hundreds of social media posts, I can see that most people don’t understand the ID requirements of the SAVE Act. Most think, I have a drivers license, I’m fine. But a drivers license the way we know them won’t be sufficient.
