Dear Readers, The Global South Convergence Forum (gscforum.org) is pleased to share our latest In-Depth Insight authored by Dr. Sammy Wambua, Research Head of the Pwani University Biosciences Research Centre (PUBREC) at Pwani University in Kilifi, Kenya. In this piece, Dr. Wambua draws on his experiences to outline how we can advance South-South conversations, collaborations, and cooperations, enabling the Global South to move from ad-hoc pilot projects to a self-sustaining, peer-to-peer operating system. The full article is available at the following link: gscforum.org/_files/ugd/a23…. We welcome your perspectives on how we can collaboratively build this peer-to-peer ecosystem.

You know you are old-fashioned when you HAVE TO write down things on paper to conceptualise something and to feel confident of taking up a new project. Are you also old-fashioned like me? :-) (It is another thing that only I can read my handwriting😅)

If you have walked the ally’s of Crawford market or Byculla vegetable market, there always have been “patiwala’s” who for an amount would pick your bags. I mean, they have existed for at least more than three decades, and i am sure before that too..

Ditto in Mumbai, not that @ZeptoNow or @instamart_it are any different. The worse is that if you don’t open the bag in front of them then they will argue that we tore the packets, e.g. curd, and the refund is so much of a pain.. I am beginning to appreciate the older methods of having to go to Shop..

@blinkit Hyderabad for the fifth time sent delivery in a flimsy bag This time the bag collapsed and broke at my front door- packet on the floor bottles smashed All these startup’s are run and managed by banias whose penny pinching tendencies belt their bloated ambitions

This may bring President Xi to India, but for businesses in the form of FDI to come to India, involves consistent efforts to ensuring that the domestic ecosystem attracts ans absorbs internationalisation efforts.
Narendra Modi@narendramodi

Saddened by the loss of lives in a mining accident in Shanxi Province in China. On behalf of the people of India, my condolences to President Xi Jinping and the people of China. May the bereaved families find strength in this tragic hour. Praying for the early and safe recovery of all remaining missing persons.

Evidently the Bay of Bengal is becoming an important region.. from Trump congratulating on the West Bengal win to 👇🏾 dude in Assam for the swearing in ceremony to now Rubio in Bengal again..! Something is brewing, and it doesn’t smell nice..!

Joined @SecRubio in Kolkata for a visit to the Missionaries of Charity. Moments like these remind us the U.S.-India partnership rests not only on strong policies, but also on shared values and the spirit of selfless service that transcends borders.

It is common in India’s centuries old decadent political culture that those who flag danger are ignored and reviled As Dhananant did to Chanakya As Mohammed Shah Rangila’s court, in decadent hubris, when warned of Nadir Shah So it is with Modi Shah Rangila’s court History repeats

If there is one person that should be paid no-heed then it has to be this economist! He says "..therefore, the economy is well-positioned to absorb some inflationary pressure that will accompany the depreciation.." This statement says it all.. He truly does not understand the Indian economy.. he never did, and he never will..

Stuff you find safely tucked in an almirah at your parents’ home—my sis and I used to wear this kurta during our college days in mid 1990s in Delhi. Back then, khadi cotton kurta and denims were in fashion among college students. The kurta is still intact. Mom has kept it safely
