@MorlockP My only contribution to this is that a masters in a primarily "knowledge for knowledge's sake" humanities/social science field where all of the jobs are within the academia ecosystem is widely viewed as useless or just a stepping stone to PhD if you didn't go to a good undergrad

In my experience, men select more against lack of pickiness than pure promiscuity. You can sleep with 100s, if 1000s want you. But if 10 want you and you sleep with all 10 that looks bad.

I'm really quite tired of people pretending that degradation isn't a big part of porn or the appeal of porn. Men aren't watching "making love with a beautiful woman". They are watching "babysitter gets destroyed".

Here’s the thing about academics. They complain about low pay, and yet they shop at Whole Foods. I’ve yet to see an academic eat Burger King. A grad student from another university once asked to meet with me at a conference. I take the guy to Burger King, and he wouldn’t order.
