I see comments like this a bunch (the picks you're sending out are unlikely to yield a player as good as player X). And that's partially right, but as with the Bane deal last year, I the way to think about these picks isn't as "who would you pick", but as optionality you're trading away. The opportunity cost from trading these futures picks is mostly in trading the picks later for someone else who fits their timeline a bit better, not from using the picks directly. But that said, I've come around on this deal. Utah's timeline may not be as far away as it seems, with Kessler, George, JJJ, and a top 4 pick.
