I think @Carra23 has forgotten Ferguson's pre-United achievements: breaking the Old Firm hegemony in Scotland and leading Aberdeen to European glory; defeating Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the process 👍 🏆

🏆 "Those placing Ferguson ahead of Guardiola baffle me. I struggle to agree with a single reason to justify that claim." @Carra23 explains why Guardiola leaves Manchester City as the greatest football coach there has ever been 👇 telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@coach_kevin_m @richwil7 My semi-controversial theory is that in the girls game, smaller formats should cascade all the way up to U-19 and your club should only be allowed to play 11-a-side if you have a pathway to that format.

@richwil7 Yeah. If you scroll social media, you'll see that loads of grassroots coaches are against it (for various reasons)

@BobbyJM411 Who pays it. I’ll give someone a 1to1 coaching for an hour free as long as they are keen

Local footy “coaches” who haven’t played anywhere near a decent standard charging between £70-£150 for a 1-1 session has absolutely blown my mind🤯 money grabbing robbing cunts, how can they justify the price when the helmets haven’t played anywhere 😂😂😂

@kestrelpsych You shouldn’t be prioritising winning at u10. You should be prioritising improving. Once the aim is just winning the improvement stops

Literally story of my season u10 pre-ECNL 1. Big or fast kid at back who can launch it 2. Fast kid up top who can smash it 3. Shite field so you can’t play actual soccer 4. Constant loud coaching from sideline 🤬
Kevin Middleton@coach_kevin_m

Strategies that win U10 matches: - Play your best 11 every minute - Use the biggest kids in key positions - Prioritise safe football Strategies that develop players: - Give everyone meaningful game time - Encourage risk-taking - Build skills systematically These strategies often conflict.

@karenzmirak Even if you feel he need to come off don’t take him off then it destroys players and if players are afraid of making mistakes they don’t take risks . And don’t take any player off before half time it just says you are a risk of losing us this game

@richwil7 👍 What I saw wasn’t that. It was mistake happened, coach looked at the bench, called a player up ran them to half to sub that player that made the mistake off. No communication with the player coming off.

This is the first time ever Pep Guardiola has lost a title race. Emphasis on race.

Does anyone in US know if their soccer club has an end of season questionnaire for parents and players about their experience? Meaning they get feedback from these stakeholders to make decisions?

@matt_mattweed @IHateSoccerPod Most junior teams here charge around £6-10 per week that covers training games kit and referees. Not sure how much they charge in the US

Here’s a thought… raise your hand if you have ever heard the phrase: “The best players develop themselves” Have we ever stopped to think that maybe American players are bad at developing themselves compared to other soccer First Nations?

@StevenREvans @IHateSoccerPod As long as you do the right thing. There’s one (for want of a better word ) drill that would improve any kid if they practice it 50times a day for a month

@IHateSoccerPod Hilarious my wife and I spoke about this yesterday. Off-season training stuff and how I would goto a camp for a week, take what I learned, and just do that in my yard, garage, wherever.

@matt_mattweed Where? Go take video of all of these Messi’s you see on the streets tomorrow. Post them on this thread. It better be from USA and not your last trip to Spain.

‼️BREAKING: Roony Bardghji was dropped from the World Cup by Sweden due to his poor attitude. - He was part of the last squad list in March, but did not play a single minute. - After not playing, he demanded explanations from the coaching staff. They said it was simply a technical decision. - In the celebration dinner for qualifying, he was angry with the rest of his teammates, showing bad faces in a moment that should have been happy for everyone. - Graham Potter noticed this selfish attitude from Roony, who only cared about himself. He prioritizes the 26 players in the squad to have a great relationship with each other. - Potter considers that, even if Roony was one of their best players, he should not play the World Cup with that attitude, and did not call him up. — @Aftonbladet

@DaveKerrPT I hesitate to give any advice because there are million on here and they are all experts. However how about making sure the kids do 2 things 1 enjoy themselves 2 become the best players they are capable of being

No player has ever gone pro in soccer without the use of an app and a crap bit of plastic. If you're not counting the number of unopposed touches your child makes as they dance around cones, you're failing as a parent.
