My prayer focus for today is Dr. Adam Groza. Dr. Groza is relatively new as president of @GatewaySeminary. His leadership at the seminary is already bearing fruit. Let us pray for him and the multiple campuses he leads.

My prayer focus today is on Dr. @albertmohler, who has been @SBTS president since 1993. He has provided excellent leadership for the SBC’s oldest seminary. He is a true scholar and a dear friend.

My prayer focus for today is on Dr. @rscott_pace, newly elected president of Southeastern Seminary. Scott will do an outstanding job as the leader of the seminary. He is well prepared to do so.

Today, my prayer focus is on Dr. David Dockery, president of @SWBTS. David and I have been friends for decades. He is a calm but strong leader who has guided the seminary through some challenging times

Pam and I are delighted to have our youngest daughter, Allison, and her family to come visit us for a couple of weeks. This is a late Mother’s Day gift for Pam. They live in Marquette, Mich. This is a blessing indeed.

I now have three honorary degrees from our historic institutions of Christian higher education – Judson in 1996; my alma mater, Samford, in 2006; and Mobile in 2026. I am grateful for the influence all three have had on my life. Blessed indeed!

Today, my prayer focus is @JamieKDew and @NOBTS. In his seven years as president, Jamie has been a huge DifferenceMaker in the lives of so many. Thankful for his leadership at my alma mater.

I was surprised and gratified by the bestowal of the Doctor of Humane Letters upon me at the @univofmobile. Both of Saturday’s commencement services were moved indoors due to the weather, but it did not dampen the spirit of the gathering.

On Saturday, I will join the administration, faculty, staff and student body for the @univofmobile Spring 2026 Commencement. I’ve said before, and I will say it again: Dr. Charles Smith is an excellent leader for this beloved university. Thankful for the opportunity to be with them.

My prayer focus today is on the Associational Mission Strategists serving our Lord in so many ways across our state. At the State Board of Missions, we see them as valued partners in Great Commission ministries.

At the ENCOURAGE conference, Edwin Jenkins encouraged us about heaven. Jim Henry, another minister of encouragement, challenged us to deepen our walk with Christ. What a blessing these two men are to so many!

My prayer today is for our state convention president, Jarman Leatherwood. Jarman is serving Alabama Baptists in a most exemplary way. Join me in praying for him.

Delighted on Sunday to be with the family of New River Baptist Church in Eldridge as they celebrate their 200th anniversary. Later in the afternoon, I will visit with pastors in the Fayette Baptist Association. Appreciate the day’s opportunities for fellowship and worship with those on mission with the Great Commission.

Join me in praying for @pastorclint Pressley, our current SBC president, as he will preside over our SBC gathering in Orlando. Pray also for the one who will be elected as our new president. These leaders need our prayer support.
