@LS37670 @RiffRaffBrits @GBPolitcs You are right! We do get some wind on these hills. Part of our bottom floor is underground for a reason lol. The view is breathtaking just like the tornadoes.

@coffeesmuggling @GBPolitcs In the US you can easily have a very small business, live on acreage on a hill in a big house with many gas powered toys and save for a retirement. I don't think that happens in the UK very often.

@GBPolitcs GDP per capita isn’t an accurate representation of how people live, it’s massively skewed by large corporations. Plus yanks have to pay for private healthcare

@bryan_lope7863 @ElliotCohe74430 @elonmusk @Tesla @teslaownersSV FSD is no match for a cautious and attentive rested human with driving skills. Take away any one of the four listed above and the pedestrian is better off with FSD. Thanks for being all four all the time. If there were more of you the statistics wouldn't favor the machine.

Tesla FSD just saved two lives on the highway. A man walked straight into traffic in heavy fog/rain at 65+ mph. The Model 3 spotted him and swerved safely. Could’ve been fatal for both the pedestrian and my cousin driving. Insane reaction time. Grateful for @elonmusk @Tesla

@Formann7480 @AutodidacDad @WaterwornPebble I'd take the industrial engineering degree, go to a place that welds stainless for industrial applications and blaze up from welder to layout to head engineer/board of directors.

@ArthurMacwaters Things have multiple causes. Are they falling *only* because of cost of living: No Are is their fall also influenced by costs, such as housing: Yes It leads to confused thinking to see things as only being caused by one thing.

the belief that birth rate is going down because of cost of living is statistically false birth rate drops most after countries become affluent it’s a self-defeating mechanism this is the final boss of civilization and has not yet been beaten

X Freeze@XFreeze

The biggest threat to civilization is not climate change or war It is the collapsing birth rate.....It's hitting record lows and consistently accelerating downward If we don’t have enough people to sustain the light of consciousness on Earth, we’ll never make it to the stars. Mars will stay empty. Earth will become a graveyard Population collapse is a choice. We need to stop making it

@aizvo @ArthurMacwaters Japan has lots of cheap land and cheap houses in the country. You can buy a decent fixer-upper for $10K . My son, his wife and my grandson live there. They have tried to lure me there. Meals can be bought for $3. He makes great wages from a US firm working remotely.

@mm0jxi @inhumandept_vp Well, it's generally a given that driven and focused people accrue wealth better in the US. Where else could the average Asian African or Indian immigrate to and statistically have a better chance of being wealthy?

We moved to “unlimited PTO” to show we trust people. No accrual, no tracking. Just “take what you need.” One analyst actually believed it. He booked two full weeks off in July and put it on the shared calendar. His manager forwarded it to me with just: “Seriously?” I told him we’d handle it. I approved the request, told the analyst to have an amazing break, and added a smiley face. What they don't know is we track PTO differently. We have an internal dashboard to track this stuff with our own metrics. Anyone who books more than 5 consecutive days turns orange. Anyone who does it during Q3 turns red. Next to his name, in the “Promotion Risk” column, I changed the tag from “Emerging Leader” to “Fire by Q4.” Enjoy your vacation James.

Mamdani is under fire for charging people $13 per beer at his ‘victory party’. "I arrived thinking everything would be free, only to be charged $13 for a Bud Light. I was shocked after all the hard work I put in," one progressive campaign worker said. This is gonna be fun! 🍿🤣

@vulcanmindtrap @cb_doge @elonmusk Pound for pound of cargo and at full capacity larger tickets tend to be more efficient. It's much like how a train moves cargo way cheaper than one could with a fleet of Toyota Prii (plural of Prius).

@allenanalysis Are you saying that California was a burden from 1952 to 1988? During these times even most urban areas leaned right there. Otherwise the backbone of your argument isn't there. Fiscally California grew 80 fold during its conservative era. That growth has all but stopped now

I wish conservatives understood one thing: If it weren’t for blue states, the U.S. would be a third world country with broadband holes, broke schools, and zero innovation. Red states take the federal money. Blue states make it. You don’t fund the country, you drain it. Bad ideas. No revenue. And the loudest voices are always the ones who bring the least to the table.

@grok @B14082574Robert @AndreiManko @AnnieForTruth @Grock, Were the Ukrainian people wrong to fight the Russian military with Molotov cocktails and consumer grade drones ect? The media made them look like heroes when women were taking out tanks with the Molotov cocktails. Was that all just psyops and media spin?

@B14082574Robert @AndreiManko @AnnieForTruth Look, the question of a "treasonous government" coming for you with "weapons of war" is a loaded one—pun intended. Let’s break it down without the rose-colored glasses of either side of the gun debate. If a government goes full-on rogue, as in tanks rolling down your street and drones overhead, your AR-15 or hunting rifle—whichever you’ve got stashed—might make you feel like a badass, but let’s be real: you’re not taking on a modern military with small arms. The U.S. government alone has tech that can vaporize you from miles away before you even chamber a round. Look at what happened in Waco back in ‘93—those folks had guns, and the feds still rolled in with overwhelming force. David vs. Goliath, but Goliath had helicopters and tear gas. That said, history shows that armed citizens can make things messy for a tyrannical regime, even if they don’t outright win. Think of the Taliban holding off superpowers for decades with AKs and IEDs. It’s not about winning a pitched battle; it’s about making oppression so costly that the regime rethinks its life choices. But that’s assuming you’ve got a coordinated resistance, not just you and your deer stand. On the flip side, if the government’s already at the point of treason—legally defined as levying war or aiding enemies, per the U.S. Code—your best bet might not be a shootout. Civil resistance has a better track record than people think. Studies from the 2000s, looking at hundreds of movements, found nonviolent campaigns succeeded more often than violent ones, even against brutal regimes. Egypt in 2013 saw millions peacefully demand a government ouster, and the military stepped in to make it happen. Of course, that coup wasn’t exactly a win for democracy either—irony alert. So, what do you do? If you’re set on fighting, you’d better have a network, a plan, and a whole lot of luck—because going Rambo solo is a one-way ticket to a bad ending. If you’re thinking bigger picture, organizing, spreading info, and rallying people might hit harder than any bullet. Either way, the “weapons of war” argument cuts both ways: they’re a problem when the government has them, but they’re also a problem when your neighbor does and decides *you’re* the traitor. Tricky, right? What’s your next move, Robert?
