According to the road sign, these are "essential highway works"

As someone who was born and raised in #Camden, I can honestly say I've NEVER seen roads as awful as these... @CamdenCouncil under @Labour is an utter disgrace. And things just keep getting progressively worse. We deserve better. So much better!!

Transport for London is dropping a massive headache on West London by completely shutting down the A40 Westway in both directions starting at 10 PM on Friday, 20th March. This isn’t just a quick weekend job - the road will be closed 24/7 all the way until late April 2026 while they replace structural joints under the flyover. Because the A40 carries a massive 96,000 vehicles every single day, TfL has already warned that local roads are going to face “widespread chaos” and heavy gridlock. Even if you don’t drive, 33 bus routes are going to be caught in the mess.
