Everything about official bilingualism in Canada is built on myth. People can’t “just learn” a language they don’t need. Canada isn’t “built on” two equally-sized language groups. Bilingualism isn’t “necessary” to function at an elite level. It’s all just Laurentian folklore.

Over on Radio-Canada, the "conservative" on the panel is having a fit that the Air Canada CEO didn't speak French in his video and demands his resignation over it. Someone should let these people on the panel know that the victims in this tragedy were the pilots and the injured passengers, not the French language.
