So, you’d opt for Tesla providing your personal information to the government and denounce you? Would be an alternative way to handle this but I think they way they did is more gentle as the government would not fine you but confiscate your car as it has not type approval anymore. Same like illegal tuning.

@RileyBigMac I know, but it shouldn’t even be possible to remotely change what runs on your car without your consent. The government would just have to fine the offending users, that’d be much better.

If you can't control what software runs on your Tesla, do you even really own it? FSD is really cool, it's unfortunate you can only rent it and only run it on car you don't even have root on. openpilot is the best ADAS that runs on hardware you completely control.

@Dr_Wolfgang_FSD @bartosz Yeah, not having FSD is so inhuman. A law bothering people with patience until regulatory approval is very inhuman. Well, well, well… with that mindset everyone could justify everything. Because who defines what is inhuman? A hint: common sense tell us, not having FSD is not!

Imagine if Audi would do “we don’t like the new suspension/exhaust” you added so we disabled your climate control that you paid for. I paid for FSD, I put third party mod on a thing (car) that I own. Tesla doesn’t like it so now 8k€ spent on FSD (in EU it means traffic lights aware cruise control) was disabled. What’s next @elonmusk ? We don’t like you speeding, we took your Boost package? We don’t like the wrap you put on the car, auto park was disabled for your car. Can I get refund of the FSD now please @teslaeurope ? I don’t want to update the car, it’s not safety you are worried about, do I own the car or do I not? Where do I send my bank account for the 8k€ refund since you disabled it? The car thinks I don’t have the FSD anymore yet my bank account is 8k € out of pocket.

1) I respect the law that is in force. Yes. If I think the law could be better doesn’t matter. Street justice is not a valid option, right? 2) I don’t enjoy if someone suffers. I think having no traffic light aware cruise control after hacking a system is also a very low level of suffering. 3) Yes, people waited like hell, but acting against rules comes with costs. Everyone is free in choice. Whether it’s paying for FSD and being patient or not or if it is leaving Europe and going to a „better“ country or Union, if they don’t agree with the system or not. But at all: You never and nowhere can’t blame others if you’re at fault.

@rigoice105 I did NOT modify software at all. If they couldn't block it without blocking this, then they shouldn't do it and wait for people to update the car.

Maybe not you, but others. That’s the point. They cannot handle every single case. As I said, they probably cannot deactivate FSD without the legal features. They come back as soon as they can/fixed this. 🤷‍♂️ The T&C of Tesla also state that you are generally not allowed to manipulate the software. So again: if you act against the rules, don’t whine if you get the bill. 😉

Ein E-Auto hat keinen Tankdeckel der runterfallen könnte. Außerdem passiert das auch beim Tanken mit dem Verbrenner nicht täglich, außer man ist ein totaler Schussel. 🥴 3) Inklusion ist Ihnen scheinbar ein Fremdwort. Wenn jemand z.B. einen Bandscheibenvorfall hat, sich nur unter starken Schmerzen bücken kann und dies am besten vermeidet, ist er für Sie gleich ein Risiko und sollte vom Straßenverkehr ausgeschlossen werden? Hmm, schade. 🤷‍♂️ Ich frage mich manchmal, wo die Empathie in unserer Gesellschaft abgeblieben ist. 😕

@rigoice105 @RealRusty Die sollen dann einfach woanders laden. Gibt ja Alternativen. Allerdings frage ich mich, wie diese Personen Luft in die reifen bekommen, einen runtergefallenen Tankdeckel aufheben können, etc. Wer es nicht schafft, sich OHNE(!) Gewicht zu bücken, der ist im Auto ein Risiko!

@ole1210 @RealRusty Einfache Beispiele sind Knie-, Hüft-, oder Rückenschäden/-probleme, die beim Autofahren an sich keine Einschränkungen bringen, aber durchaus beim Bücken, Hocken oder Knien. Da sind Anschlüsse auf „normaler“ Höhe wie bei Ladesäulen oder Zapfsäulen besser als, Anschlüsse im Boden.

I would hope for a rather fast release in Germany. I’d expect a quick (limited early access) release in Germany, France and Italy. I could imagine Tesla is already negotiating for a fast recognition. Especially as it would be contrary if almost all of Europe travels to the Netherlands with their Teslas experiencing FSD the first time on unknown terrain. Better would be making the first steps on the home turf. Let’s just assume some people overreact due to unknown streets an cause collisions. That would not be good news. So, maybe I’m wrong, but I’d expect a rather fast rollout (and a communicated roadmap) in the countries that got Grok in the first place.

Den Gedanken hatte ich auch und bin für mich zum Schluss gekommen, dass man heute einfacher ängstlicher ist als früher. Da ist man ganz andere Risiken eingegangen und jeder wusste, dass die Helden einer solchen Mission draufgehen können. Und es wurde akzeptiert. Heute wäre es direkt wieder ein Skandal mit folgender Diskussion zur Abschaffung der Raumfahrt, wenn eine Mission scheitert und die Astronauten auf dem Mond verloren wären. Man spielt also extrem auf Sicherheit. Das ist nur meine Meinung, würde aber in den „Zeitgeist“ passen, dass man in sehr vielen Entscheidungen und Aktionen nahezu sicher sein will und die Spontanität, Risikofreude und der Entdeckergeist sind irgendwie eingeschlafen. Siehe Walstrandung in der Ostsee. Es wir viel diskutiert und palavert, aber wenig gehandelt. Politik, Tierschützer, Umwelschützer, … jeder sucht irgendeine Gewissheit und hat keinen Plan. Sowas findet so häufig weltweit statt. Und auch hier Ratlosigkeit, weil es keine Sicherheit gibt. Manchmal muss man einfach (wie früher) es mal wagen und wenn es fehlschlägt daraus lernen und besser werden.

Ich habe lange gezögert, mich zur aktuellen Mondmission zu äußern – aber ganz ehrlich: Einige Fragen drängen sich einfach auf. Vorweg: Ich halte die Apollo-Mondlandungen nicht für einen Fake. Dennoch wirkt es befremdlich, dass mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert später der Fortschritt in diesem Bereich vergleichsweise überschaubar erscheint. Damals, mit deutlich begrenzterer Technologie, gelang es, Menschen zum Mond zu bringen – und heute wirkt selbst die Rückkehr dorthin wie ein komplexes Großprojekt mit ungewissem Ausgang. Natürlich kann man einwenden, dass politische Prioritäten, wirtschaftliche Interessen und nicht zuletzt Konflikte auf der Erde enorme Ressourcen gebunden haben. Aber genau das wirft eine grundlegende Frage auf: Warum scheint die technologische Entwicklung in der Raumfahrt nicht im gleichen Maß vorangeschritten zu sein wie in so vielen anderen Bereichen? Es geht mir nicht um Verschwörungstheorien, sondern um ein Gefühl der Diskrepanz zwischen dem, was einst möglich war, und dem, was heute – trotz aller Fortschritte – als Herausforderung gilt. Zur Erinnerung: Apollo-Missionen ✓ 6 erfolgreiche Mondlandungen ✓ 12 Astronauten auf dem Mond (erste Mondlandung Juli 1969) Artemis II ✓ Keine Landung, sondern nur ein Flug um den Mond herum (April 2026) Wie erklärt ihr Euch das?

Das gab es in den 70ern ja schon und wurde auch da schon durchgesetzt. Ich gebe zu, die Ausnahme der Stromer wäre komplexer. Aber die Gefahr in einer Kontrolle erwischt zu werden würde schon weitreichend wirken. Das Limit von 100km/h wäre temporär sicherlich machbar. Aber nicht dauerhaft. Und auch hier, dass kurzfristig flächendeckend zu kontrollieren wäre auch irre.

@rigoice105 @JuBeeMG @WilmsRolf Hab das nicht nachgerechnet aber wenn es knapp wird, sollte trotzdem keiner mit 200kmh das Doppelte verbrauchen. Verbrennerfreie Sonntage würden sehr viele treffen, die fahren müssen und das zu kontrollieren wäre wirklich irre. Fände 100kmh auch i.O. 🤷‍♂️

Warum wird gerade ein Tempolimit diskutiert, anstatt eines Tempolimits für Verbrennerfahrzeuge? Geht es vielleicht garnicht darum, Sprit zu sparen?

Dann denken wir doch mal über Autofreie Sonntage für Verbrenner nach, wie es die schon einmal gab. Das spart dann enorm Sprit. Denn die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit liegt in den letzten Jahren auf Autobahnen in D schon deutlich unter 120km/h. Bedeutet, ein Tempolimit bei 130 oder 120 spart nahezu nichts. Und ein Tempolimit bei 100 spart wohl kaum mehr als 1% und wäre auch nicht durchsetzbar.

@rigoice105 @JuBeeMG @WilmsRolf Es wird aber Sprit gespart und das viel größere Problem ist ben der Mangel und nicht der Preis. Wenn dir die Karre ausgeht, wird dann über den Staat gemeckert, der nichts gemacht hat...

@DrLuetke Noch ein Gegenvorschlag: Die Preise dürfen nur einmal am Tag um 12 Uhr verändert/gesetzt werden. Wer zu gierig ist, ist für die nächsten 24 Std. gekniffen. Wer günstig genug ist, hat 24 Std. eine Goldgrube. Dann muss endlich mal wirtschaftlich kalkuliert werden.

@JuBeeMG @WilmsRolf Aber welches Solidaritätsprinzip denn? Wenn E-Autos langsamer fahren wird der Sprit nicht billiger. Die Ironie an der Sache, wenn Verbrenner ein Tempolimit haben wird der Sprit auch nicht günstiger. 😅 Aber es würde mal wieder Aktionismus gezeigt, wie mit der 12Uhr-Regel. 😂

@WilmsRolf Warum sollte man Minderheiten von max. 3-5% davon ausnehmen? Hier muss das Solidaritätsprinzip greifen. Alle müssen hängen.
