🇭🇺🇺🇸HUNGARY: World Became **Safer** After Trump’s Resumption of Russian-US Dialogue
Foreign Minister of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, said that “with President [Donald] Trump entering office, I think the world has already become a safer place because the Russian and the American leaderships have re-engaged with each other.”
@FM_Szijjarto further added that he hopes that a comprehensive agreement between US-Russia will be found within the 50-day time period, which was proposed by President Trump.
From his point of view, the lack of direct contact between Moscow and Washington was a threat to global stability.
"Beforehand, there was no live dialog or communication between the two, which was very dangerous from the perspective of global security," Szijjarto added.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that if the relations between the US and Russia are at least at a “civilized” level, then Central European countries, such as Hungary, will benefit.
Hungary was one of the first European countries which was in favor of a ceasefire and was heavily criticized for its efforts. Now, however, it has been joined by other European states in its efforts.
