This polluted air situation is ridiculous! It’s time to stand up and hold those responsible to account and force them to perform and deliver. I will give a solution to it too, further down below in the post, and if the politicians are sincere they will adopt and act. Let me be clear - I’m not a political person - but despite the risk of retaliation, I am going to call out some politicians and political parties - because they promised yet didn’t deliver on the matter of Clean Air, and that has meant death, pain and loss of future longevity for millions of people including my and your and everyone’s loved ones. WHERE ARE THE MACHINES that were to help reduce stubble burning - seeders/rakes/balers? SHOW THEM NOW! Show them live at work & their locations, NOW! The @AAPPunjab @CMbhagwantmann @AamAadmiParty @AAPDelhi @ArvindKejriwal @raghav_chadha @Jasmine441 came into power in Delhi & Punjab promising to fix air pollution. You claimed farmers in Punjab would be given & forced to use crop harvesting machines so that farmers would NOT burn stubble in Punjab. Tell us all - WHERE are those machines? And don’t just use words - show live & historical GPS movement of EACH of those machines on a Map - with video footage showing the crop harvesting machines removing the stubble. Show their gps+video movement to warehouses. The GPS tracking, video telematics, mapping and GIS technologies to bring transparency, visibility, reporting for ALL to see, EXIST. Hundreds of government organisation use this to show live and transparently the movement of Solid Waste Management / Garbage Trucks, the movement of Food & Civil Supplies Trucks, of Mining Vehicles, of Road Construction Vehicles - my own company MapmyIndia has been providing this to many for years. If the Government wanted - Shri @BhagwantMann @ArvindKejriwal @raghav_chadha @Jasmine441 @AamAadmiParty @AAPPunjab @AAPDelhi - you all could have procured and deployed these systems and made available live and historical visibility on maps and videos and reports for all these to all Indians. You can still do it under emergency procurement and war-footing activities NOW. I, and am sure crores of other people, in Delhi NCR and other regions in the Indo-Gangetic plains affected due to Punjab’s stubble burning would want to see this asap. I do hope more people speak up, and keep up the pressure to perform on these leaders and authorities and officials are brought to account and they do what they said - so everyone can breathe! It’s been so irritating to see politicians deflect responsibility, shift blame on others and when asked questions by the media come up with reasons and excuses that “this other person didn’t do that” - Arre Bhai, DID YOU DO WHAT YOU COULD DO? Are you doing what you can do? Here’s a challenge - SHOW US ALL WHERE ALL MACHINES ARE - each ton of stubble safely removed improves air quality. Btw - the cost of buying the GPS and Mapping technology to give this transparency and visibility is small compared to the lakhs of crores of benefits if we clean the air. So don’t make this contingent of companies having to provide this tech to you free - take away budgets from advertising and deploy those on these. Finally - to all citizens and media - we can do citizen reporting TOO to call out on the ground where these burnings are happening and not happening. So much time, energy, money, fuel is wasted because of the state of these roads. Pollution being another key factor. What’s the point of giving u conditional building licenses for development if the administration can’t even ensure basic services operational.
