Bitcoin Calendar Time and Protocol Time are converging. For my Bitcoin model projections, I'll use a 210,000-block rolling window to calculate the "Time Conversion Rate" between Protocol Time and Calendar Time. The assumption: block production over the most recent 210,000 blocks is a better predictor of the next 5–10 years than the full history since genesis, which is skewed by the inconsistent and volatile mining rates of Bitcoin's early years.

If the community wants Cardano to be able to make more connections and expand its horizons, events like this are great to connect builders, stakeholders, institutions and VCs 3. Feels like the Cardano Foundation should not be asking for basically the whole amount of money to make the Summit, but rather they should be the ones putting in their money - especially as they even had a profit from last year of 330k according the proposal deck 🤔 4. The community would gladly accept a middle ground proposal which reduced the request and expending to a reasonable basis Just my 2 cents on the matter. I haven’t read everything on the proposal, but it feels to me like this will be very divisive. Even if the proposal passes, it certainly won’t look good for the CF to not have a near unanimous result. This is the kind of stuff that NEEDS a wide consensus for it to be successful and positive for the community.

@_Just_Jinx @IOHK_Charles Not really. Keeping-the-lights-on commits doesn't count as meaningful progress in my book. If there's no impactful progress, then it might be a bigger issue than no progress whatsoever. It could signify an attempt to conceal a stagnant repo

The avg users on Cardano and X don't look at code, they just want to see that something is being done, and it is. Working on a "Project" has various aspect to it from code to docs to whatever else. The point was people say nothing is being done and that is just factually speaking not true. If you want to get into the technical side of things then the original issue changes.

@IOHK_Charles Yeah.. but did anyone go past seeing that there are links and there is "progress"? Check the past 20 commits, it's just minor documentation changes. Go back one month to find minimal code change and what is it? Replacing a library and updating docs again. Not exactly active.

This has nothing to do with blind trust. We have made multiple disclosures about this topic and I will never back down. People building directly on midnight are aware about the bridge strategy. To say it's been miscommunicated is completely disingenuous. We have spent more than two years talking about this topic and even created bespoke protocols to facilitate it like Ouroboros Peras. The meta issue here is the perpetual lack of good faith and the assumption that midnight is the enemy of Cardano. I will repeat myself from the video that I shot. If this is allowed to fester Cardano will fail. I do not want to look back at the last 10 years of my life and mark it down with an L. For the sake of everyone who has sacrificed so much to try to get this ecosystem going, we have to stop self-sabotaging. We have to stop holding up people who try to tear us down.

I hate Solana, but I'm starting to really hate Midnight and the way they are approaching things. I'm going to be shifting my research and focus onto Midnight investigation because I can't stand for the way they are treating the Cardano ecosystem. Fully aware I'll lose followers, but my integrity lies with what I believe In and stand for. Daily I see constant wrecking of Cardano at the expense of Midnight which is in my opinion currently no more advanced than what is capable on Cardano. Well currently it's less capable by a mile this may of course change but the dynamic is genuinely Embarrassing. There's a lot of posts from people hiding behind technical jargon, but in reality things like only Midnight supporting a bridge to Midnight from Cardano and not from Midnight to Cardano speaks volumes. Warning. Bridging Assets to Midnight from Cardano is one way, you cannot bridge assets back to Cardano, once bridged you are locked in. As designed, be cautious. More posts to come.
