तमिळनाडूतील नागरकोइल येथील शिक्षिका गिरिजा अम्मा यांनी त्या संचालित करत असलेल्या १५ शाळांतील प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याने दररोज फक्त १ रुपया सैनिकांसाठी द्यावा असे आवाहन करून; हजारो विद्यार्थ्यांच्या योगदानातून सैनिकांसाठी तब्बल ४० लाख रुपये जमा केले.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी कालच्या "मन की बात" मध्ये गिरिजा अम्मांचा गौरव करून त्यांचा यथोचित सन्मान केला आहे.

NEET, CBSE 12th Exam, CUET (UG) या परीक्षेत घोळ करून जवळपास ४५ लाख विद्यार्थ्यांच्या भविष्याशी खेळ करणारे शिक्षण मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान यांचे काळे कारनामे बाहेर येऊ नयेत म्हणून तर ही आग लावली गेली नाही ना? असा प्रश्न विद्यार्थी विचारत आहेत. केंद्र सरकारने तात्काळ सदर प्रकाराची गंभीर दखल घेऊन धर्मेंद्र प्रधान यांचा राजीनामा घ्यावा व NTA मधील दोषी अधिकाऱ्यांवर कठोर कारवाई करावी ही विनंती...! .... It has been reported that a fire broke out at the Ministry of Education office in New Delhi. It must now be established whether this incident was an accident or a deliberate act. Following the incident, students across the country are raising serious questions like was this fire intentionally set to prevent the exposure of alleged irregularities involving Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who has been accused of mishandling examinations such as NEET, the CBSE Class 12 Exams, and CUET (UG), thereby affecting the future of nearly 4.5 million students? The Central Government must take immediate and serious cognizance of this incident. It is preposterous, outrageous, and a stretch beyond reason to suggest that Prime Minister Modi personally supervised the NEET paper leak. This is precisely why Rahul Gandhi struggles to be taken seriously on matters of national importance. Time and again, he demonstrates a lack of gravitas and the maturity required to handle serious issues with the thoughtfulness and sensitivity they deserve. No one is more concerned about the future of India’s youth than Prime Minister Modi. Year after year, he spends time interacting with students ahead of their examinations, encouraging them, understanding their anxieties, and forging a bond that Rahul Gandhi will never comprehend. The incidents surrounding the NEET examination are unfortunate and have understandably caused concern among students and their families. Their anxiety is legitimate and must be addressed with urgency. That is exactly what the government is doing. Those responsible will be held accountable, corrective measures are being taken on priority, and no deserving student will be made to suffer the consequences of the wrongdoing of a few. Instead of standing with students and contributing constructively, Rahul Gandhi has once again chosen sensationalism over responsibility.
