@FearedBuck I think it’s amazing to have tremendous faith in God but Ivey is preaching in a way that’s off putting. There’s a way to preach and be professional at the same time. Jaden prob
got some soul searching to do but his faith and conviction is admirable. Hope it works out for him.

Jaden Ivey questions NBA hypocrisy, saying Anthony Edwards’ 2023 use of “queer” as a slur resulted only in a fine because he was the best player on the Minnesota Timberwolves, while he was released by the Chicago Bulls for speaking the truth
“How is it that he said something detrimental and basically hypocritical judgment because he is not a Christian… He didn’t get kicked out of the league, he didn’t get waived. It’s because he is the best player on their team. The Timberwolves need him to be on the team because he’s the best player; he makes them money. I’m injured and I’m speaking the truth. It’s all money involved in that—that’s why he’s still playing. They’re not going to waive him; he’s making the Timberwolves money. Everyone goes to pay to watch Anthony Edwards. If they didn’t have Anthony Edwards, no one would watch the Timberwolves.”

@SMXTH_T @GilMccor @ugclipz I’m sure he’s not completely right in the mind but gotta give him some grace. Either he goes further down the deep end or is truly saved… only time will tell. I do think he has been hyper vigilant and not expressing his faith in the best way but at least he has faith. Prayers up

@FFootballBurner @Sunnyandbright2 @notcapnamerica Yes this is true. It’s about accountability and self awareness. If following Jesus save lives, I think that’s beautiful. If He is used to accept or enable sin, then that’s deceptive and unreliable. We have to discern the two. Having faith in life can be incredibly empowering.
English

@Sunnyandbright2 @rlam23 @notcapnamerica Yes, but people that truly seek God will acknowledge that those things are wrong, even if they struggle with it. There’s a difference between that and enabling/accepting it.
English

@samintheback @dsonoiki I agree. Most of the time, it’s how we say it and not exactly what we’re saying. We def need to spread more love when sharing our religious beliefs but also not take offense to someone’s personal beliefs either. Tricky situation… just don’t let them divide us!
English

@Sunnyandbright2 @notcapnamerica This is true but we are all sinners to some extent. It’s impossible to live a perfect life but you can always follow Jesus and try to emulate his love for everyone. No one likes a hypocrite but we all can succumb to being one, aware or not. Just need to hold ourselves accountable
English

@rlam23 @notcapnamerica Unfortunately, the people screaming that they've chosen God are the same people caught up in all the vices you mention, and then some.
English

@cartierfamilyZ 1000%. And I grew up hooping my whole life and love watching good basketball. I try to separate the entertainment aspect from the political agenda they push on us but I wish it wasn’t this way. I’m sure tons of athletes think the same but gotta keep the main thing the main thing

@Sheardo32 @Dad_2_The_Bone Whether someone believes Noah’s Ark is a literal historical event doesn’t determine if Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection happened. It was supported by non-Christian writers so dismissing it based on an Old Testament story doesn’t really address the evidence for Jesus himself.
English

@rlam23 @Dad_2_The_Bone It’s a made up story. I mean Noah’s ark? How many animals actually boarded the ark if they went in 2x2. There is no evidence this ever happened
English

@Sheardo32 @Dad_2_The_Bone A story is an interpretation of observable facts and events that give them meaning. Stories give things we see in our world structure and meaning to help remember them. What are you trying to say here?
English

@ghostbums @abris11 How is this crazy? It teaches emotional intelligence if anything. Why limit our children and make them ignorant to certain things? People are okay with introducing them to sex and other things from evil. Why not teach them the nuance of love and respect for others and ourselves?
English

@YBoondock @BullsMuse_ wtf are you talking about ? He’s clearly sick. He’s not the only Christian in the league the other Christians take the sport serious and he’s still talking about the pistons when he’s not even on the team anymore

@VictoriaZeev @historyinmemes Sure you can look at it as entertainment but these creatures are still forming beautiful bonds with us during these sets… it’s not like they know they’re in movies. Something like this just exemplifies their beauty.
English

@historyinmemes Bonding’ on set doesn’t change the fact animals are still being used for entertainment.

@MorgothsReview They’re all compromised. It’s good vs evil. Not evil vs evil.

@beyoncegarden This is a modern woman. Her attitude is disgusting and she’s arguing for abortion… viability or not, women back in the day would rejoice and be proud to have a baby/fetus growing in her. Also that snark comment about him smiling is weird. She’s way too immature for this convo.
English

the way she CLEARED him effortlessly here will forever have me crying😭
