Because companies like Starbucks (and presumably Dunkin) are Canadian subsidiaries who employ Canadians, pay rent to Canadians, and buy from many Canadian suppliers. Boycotting them would would have a negative economic impact to Canada. Boycotting US supplier of goods that complete with Canadian products is just good sense. Was that so difficult?

Can someone explain to me why people in Ontario can buy drinks from Starbucks or in the future Dunkin’ (both US companies), but DOUG FORD refuses to stock US alcohol? Another reason the USMCA will have MASSIVE challenges of which Canadians will suffer 👀

Unpopular opinion: I don't care Canada is grounding the snowbirds. I understand people see them as an important part of our Canadian identity but they are just entertainment. We have more important things to spend money on, specifically our actual military. They aren't being grounded forever. This is just temporary as the planes are no longer safe. I want our pilots safe rather than them risking their lives for entertainment purposes in out of date planes. Sorry but this is just first world problems.

Somebody told me Shoppers Drug Mart does passport photos. So I went to get one done today. It was $28 dollars. Stunned, I took my expensive photos to Service Canada. It was a 90 minute wait. They said I could book an appointment online. The first one available is July 12. Peak efficiency for a government service.
