@ParikPatelCFA If the allegations are true… The fascinating part isn’t the privilege. It’s that even with every advantage, there was still a search for a shortcut. The biggest advantage isn’t money. It’s believing you’re good enough without needing one.

Mind boggling to me that I can make a thing faster and there's always people that ask "but why?" What kind of mentality is that? The pursuit of excellence does not need justification. Also, I find in so many cases, we can't know the impact of an improvement until we do it. For example, one I've talked about before: Ghostty's high IO throughput has enabled terminal program (emulator and TUI) fuzzing at a speed thats incomparably fast to prior solutions. This has resulted in upstream patches to resolve issues in popular projects like btop, tmux, and more. Speed enabled that anecdotally example that lifted the tides of adjacent communities that don't rely on Ghostty technology at all. I didn't predict this. Make things better because they can be better and let the results naturally play out.

China’s AI playbook: kill OpenAI and anthropic with free great models. Make it free. Then use cheap electricity to export compute as well. Currently the blocker is chip but Hauwei would catch up soon. Imagine a world where instead of paying hundreds of billions to OpenAI and anthropic, you pay almost zero to similar level of intelligence with cheap cheap inference. What’s gonna happen?

We’re sharing the next major milestone in our non-invasive brain-to-text decoder research: Brain2Qwerty v2. Building on v1, which was published today in @Nature, Brain2Qwerty v2 is the highest-performing end-to-end pipeline capable of real-time sentence decoding from raw brain signals. It advances beyond character-level performance to decoding words and semantics, enabling accuracy for overall communication. We believe this research has the potential to make a real difference for the millions of people who suffer from brain lesions or disorders that prevent them from communicating. 🧵👇

@aaronburnett Truly massive gains will come in ~3 months when the entire training and inference stack is written in C/C++ and massively simplified (most software layers will be deleted completely) and we exact-map Grok to work incredibly well on a GB300

Yes output token price is just little bit higher($6 vs $4-$5)… and input token price is almost the same. Looking forward to the actual feedback of the application. Also OAI is hiring tons of solution engineers, they want to replicate AWS’s playbook. They are trying to jump out of this token price competition. Building vertical solutions for enterprise not only can drive the adoption but also can give OAI much higher margin. Enterprise also gets higher ROI. This is win-win. It’s actually very bullish for OAI and it can be bearish for many traditional SAAS again if this works out.

Grok 4.5, based on our 1.5T V9 foundation model, with Cursor data added in supplemental training, is now in private beta at SpaceX & Tesla. Early evals show performance close to, perhaps exceeding Opus. RL is continuing to significantly improve the model, and the Grok Build harness gets better every day. Nice work by all those involved! Completely trained from scratch new models will be released by @SpaceX every month this year.

TL;DR: Zero Data Retention inference architectures shift AI privacy and regulatory risk from providers to consumers by treating data as short-lived flows optimized via synthetic signals, making long-term data custody a liability and favoring stateless inference + local state.

Many smart people/AI insiders are saying GLM-5.2 is the first Chinese AI model to match and often beat the American big lab public AI models with no compromises. Incredible timing given current events.

How do you give a code LLM knowledge of an entire repository without paying for it at every single query? We introduce Code2LoRA: a hypernetwork that turns a repository into its own LoRA adapter. Repo knowledge baked into weights → zero inference-time token overhead.
