@ChristianHeiens This is why the Left is pushing for the National Popular Vote compact because it would mean California & NYC alone would choose our Emperors.
In 2016, if CA votes weren't counted then Trump would've won the popular vote, too. Eliminate NYC too & the 2.5M margin would've flipped.

Almost every county in Virginia moved hard to the Right compared to 2025 and even 2024. Most of Rural Virginia appears poised to perform Trump's margins by enough to shift the entire state to NO....if NOVA followed suit as well. But NOVA did not follow suit. Most Northern Virginia counties moved to the LEFT of 2024.
And that's the ball game.
Virginia is under hostile occupation. We are ruled out of Fairfax County, and there's nothing we can do about it.

@jakemalasek This is a good analysis. TLDR, there is a very small advantage in win probability going for two. Like 1-2 percent. This assumes a 50-50 chance of making the two point try. I think it’s lower now, but that works both ways. Overall, I think it’s a tossup.

The problem isn’t specific to the ACC’s system even if you don’t like the result.

@roachjl @DanWetzel In this case it went to like the 5th tiebreaker. It was “combined record of teams you lost to” or some shit, and Duke had lost to teams with SLIGHTLY better records than Miami had. But when ACC schedules are so imbalanced, how reliable is that? Should just be CFP rank after H2H.

A great gesture of leadership would occur when current Hall of Famers who used PEDs -- greenies, steroids, whatever -- just came out and explained what they did and why. It would move the Hall to a place when it could finally acknowledge the reality of what happened in the industry for 20+ years -- rather than absurdly pretending that Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were outliers.

@mike_petriello Kent much better offensively + won a MVP. Kent also had three additional top 9 MVP finishes. Lou had one 8th place finish. Average and Slugging much better.

@red_helms @PeteThamel @ReceDavis Not a fan of Alabama (at all), but BYU lost to Texas Tech twice. Bama had already beaten Georgia once. Penalizing them for losing a team they already beat seems a bit harsh.

Again, thanks to the terrible leadership of the ACC, the conference will only have itself to blame for this idiotic matchup. UVA has a record worthy, Duke does not. But the conference decided not to use any non-conference metrics as tie-breakers. Idiots. I’d love to fight harder on behalf of the ACC if the ACC itself would learn how to fight! ACC univ presidents should clean house at the ACC or risk the conference completely falling apart.
