Well, a few things.
--- That half was like the opposite of the Purdue game.
--- Not sure Kansas can play better. Not sure Iowa State can play worse.
--- Kansas with a 13-0 advantage off of turnovers. Jayhawks went into tonight ranked 346th (!!) in defensive TO percentage.
--- Iowa State way out of sync defensively, likely connected to the uncharacteristic 10 turnovers.
U.S. pork producers are fortunate to have an advocate like @SecRollins to speak up for us in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Nutrient-dense pork protein is here to stay!
Gary Plauché moments before shooting child predator, Jeffrey Doucet.
During 1983 and 1984, Gary’s 11-year-old son, Jody Plauché, was taking karate lessons with an instructor, 25-year-old Jeffrey Doucet, who had been sexually abusing the boy for at least a year.
In February 1984, Doucet kidnapped Jody and took him to a motel in California where he sexually assaulted and molested him. Police searched the country for Jody, and he was eventually found after Doucet allowed the boy to place a collect call to his mother from the motel. California police raided the motel and arrested Doucet without incident.
On March 16, 1984, Doucet was flown back from California to Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport to face trial.
Doucet arrived and was led in handcuffs by police officers through the airport at around 9:30 p.m., where Plauché was waiting for Doucet with a gun.
Plauché was friends with several high-ranking police officers in the Baton Rouge Police Department; while many people believed that these contacts told Plauché where and when Doucet would be arriving, it was actually an employee of the local ABC affiliate WBRZ-TV who gave Plauché the information. A news crew from WBRZ-TV was also waiting for Doucet and had set up their cameras to record his arrival.
Opposite the news crew was a bank of pay telephones, where Plauché waited while talking to his best friend on a telephone. He wore a baseball cap and sunglasses, so no one recognized him.
As Doucet was escorted through the airport, he passed the news crew who were taping the scene. He then walked past Plauché, who took out his gun and fired a single shot, directly at the right side of Doucet's head, at point-blank range.
Doucet died the next day.
Plauché was initially charged with second-degree murder, but agreed to a plea-bargain in which he pleaded no contest to manslaughter. He was sentenced to seven years suspended, with five years probation and 300 hours of community advice, which he completed in 1989.
@roamingnoem It saddens us to read you have had a negative experience with us. We would love the opportunity to turn this around. Please send us a DM for assistance. *Rebecca
@BR03261985@BoiiiHog Ok
Not too literal
Still complex why - when pork has a pricing advantage over beef - that there's bot a closing of that price spread
I'm concerned there is something about pork demand that we aren't understanding...thus not admitting
@roamingnoem@BoiiiHog Would you not agree that poultry can react to demand changes quicker by adjusting supply? That helps then stay competitive? Also a more integrated model creates advantages in adjusting to consumer preferences?
I agree it's different than fruit. Just saying we have several hurdles
Beef to pork is apples to oranges. If I want an apple but its too expensive I'm not substituting with an orange. However, they are both fruit so an underlying positive price correlation will always be present.
@BR03261985@BoiiiHog But chicken consumption is growing, beef consumption is waning (an exchange of protein for protein IMO)
While pork cons is sideways at best
Consumers move prot choices based on price
Not same for fruits
@BoiiiHog This is a fun discussion. Obviously there are always multiple factors that determine price. Supply side would undoubtedly be a huge factor in the beef/pork discussion. If the beef herd could recover faster and/or the hog side recover slower, the spread would likely be different
@BR03261985@BoiiiHog xplain a cutout that is 3 to 3/5 x. I am concerned about why people, for protein, would move from beef to chicken, and not stop at pork...giving more support to close to the Pork/Beef multiple
@roamingnoem@BoiiiHog You think like someone from the Midwest instead of someone where all the population of the US is….thats why it’s apples to oranges…
@BoiiiHog Not sure i agree that o's& a's are the same as "protein alternatives"
1 is a "cuz I like 'em" item (fruits) and other is a norm cntr of the plate or nec protein
Esp in food service & rest choices, but also in home meals
If your prop = valid, I'm not worried chicken
But I am
