@Ron2103310 @livgolf_league @ScottONeil is this not an argument for the field strength? player gets card, sits top of the leaderboard after 54 holes. the truist is meant to be an elevated event
English

What happens when a Pro golfer gets a chance to qualify and play in a PGAT event, and get a tour card?
Here, we'll show the difference between making it to the PGAT, and "making it on LIV."

‼️ LIV Golf ending & Player Paths
LIV will finish this season and will cease operations next year. - there is talk, it might not even finish this season.
There is a massive NEGATIVE- ROI for LIV Golf. No VC, investment group, etc, would have ever tolerated this massive money loss and the product getting worse.
PGAT had a heads up that LIV was likely ending. They provided a ONE TIME path back and Brooks took it. The others didn’t.
From sources —- sounds like DP World will accept some LIV Players those who have paid fines. Others will go to the Asian Tour or other tours.
Rahm will need to pay his fine to play in DP World Tour. PGAT doesn’t need him and really isn’t welcomed back at this point. This will be a tough pill to swallow for Rahm.
Bryson is the only player the PGAT wants back. He very well might be a YouTube, DP World Tour player and Majors next year. His path back to the PGAT is murky via the concessions as Brooks already set the precedence.
The other rumor is the negative view PIF and the Saudis have felt over LIV Golf. It was unexpected and under estimated. The ANTi-LIV visceral reactions from a massive fan base had a considerable impact on their decision.
Expect to see PIF be a sponsor at PGA events in the future. Similar to the LPGA and DP World Tour.
DP World or PGAT will hold an event in Adelaide
More to come as I hear more ….

@LouStagner shotlink records every stroke but doesn't automatically assign them to players. mistakes can be made. a paper scorecard is redundancy
English

Making players on the PGA tour maintain a paper scorecard is ridiculous.
ShotLink tracks every shot to the inch, walking scorers log every stroke in real time, and TV cameras cover play from multiple angles. The Tour already knows every player's score with more precision than a scorecard could ever provide.
The paper card is the least accurate record of what happened on the course. And yet it's the only one that legally counts.
That's not golf. That's clerical idiocy. De Vicenzo lost a Masters because of a clerical error. So stupid.
"Tradition" isn't an argument. We used to be able to carry as many clubs as we wanted. We used to have stymies. We used to not be able to clean the ball on the green. Etc...
Rules evolve when the reasoning behind them does.
"Player accountability" is a red herring. Players still call penalties on themselves. Integrity does not live in making sure your playing partner wrote down a number correctly on a scorecard.
Obviously, amateurs and lower level tours without ShotLink and walking scorers still need manual scorekeeping. Different context, different rule.
But on the PGA Tour, where every shot is already logged to inch-level precision before the player even reaches the scoring tent, the paper card is ceremonial at best and a DQ landmine at worst.

Can we get rid of these archaic scorecard rules? It’s literally 2026. They can track the ball’s path and spin rate yet this dude has to fill out paperwork every hole. What are we doing.

Did Thomas Frank set up with a Back 5 against Chelsea when he generated 0.00xG in the 1st half?
Did Thomas Frank set up with a Back 5 against United when he generated 0.07xG in the 1st half?
Did Thomas Frank set up with a Back 4 against PSG when he dominated them?
NO. IT IS NOT THE SHAPE, IT HIS BECAUSE HIS ATTACKING PATTERNS ARE NON EXISTANT.

@dhlexpressuk you are literally the worst company to contact when there is an issue. why are all of the contact details buried deep within your website and the IVR impossible to speak to a human? it would be ok if your service wasn't terrible but you mess up every single time

@iMiaSanMia hes got his trophy, he should come back to a proper football league instead of this farmers league where he can score a hat-trick every week

Harry Kane is currently fully focused on Bayern and fully convinced that the club can compete for the Champions League this season in a very serious way. Tottenham have a priority option on Kane should he decide to leave Bayern, with manager Thomas Frank a huge fan of the striker. Spurs have opened the door for Kane to return, but it remains to be seen what the player will decide at the end of the season [@FabrizioRomano]

The European Super League is no longer just a controversial idea, it is becoming inevitable.
German, Italian, French and Spanish football simply cannot keep pace with the Premier League’s financial power. Outside of a handful of exceptions like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern and PSG, the gap is widening every season.
The consequence is clear, the sport is moving towards two true “super leagues.” One will be the Premier League. The other, sooner or later, will have to be the European Super League.
The signs are already visible today. The Bundesliga is being stripped of its talent year after year. The best young player outside of Bayern just joined a club that was fighting relegation in England. That alone shows how little chance domestic leagues have of competing in the long run.
Without structural change, the rest of Europe will be reduced to background noise. The Super League, as much as it divides opinion, seems to be the only way to keep other European football cultures relevant and preserve competition at the very highest level.
