@chrashwood You nailed it. Absolutely true. If I want to do DIA I would rather wait for ZenoToF with Scanning SWATH enabled than buying a Astral. Again even if Sciex wants to play in the big league they will not price it this insanely where I can still buy 2 instruments instead of 1

@Lee_S_Cantrell @mskatherinetran @chrashwood @massspecpro This is scanning SWATH with methods with dwell based on LC peak width. I believe the window width is 5 Da. Transmission behavior at the window boundaries help correlate fragments to precursors at effectively unit mass resolution.

@mskatherinetran @chrashwood @massspecpro How is this different than scanning swath? Is it just continuous transmission? Also what’s the stepping width. Also what’s the transmission efficiency at the window boundaries. Limitations of the latter compromise quant unless you enforce non ideal signal processing.

@ucdmrt I find this figure particularly interesting. The main driver in the CV disparity between to the two platforms is the large proportion of >50% CV bin (likely for very low abundant proteins) on the Olink. I'm curious to how SomaScan handles these differently...
