Campus-Style Dining: The Future of Soldier Dining @USArmy @RobertIrvine army.mil/article/291386 “The partnership with Chef Robert Irvine, who has long volunteered his expertise to the military, injects commercial industry best practices and a passion for redefining what food can be. He describes these new venues as places where "trust forms where stories get shared, where teams start to feel like teams. Good food done right. It's a part of how we win, not just how we live."”

Peter we are still looking to have a restaurant In Vegas but we have to find the right opportunity. Just haven’t found it yet .. glad you had a great time at Robertirvines at the Tropicana
Peter Lamberton@PLamberton

@RobertIrvine A quick question, please... With the closure of the Tropicana, have you relocated your restaurant to another site? I have many fond memories of the restaurant and staff. Thank you for all you do.

That’s Great and I’m happy they do that , but I am not in any position to talk about any states that do or don’t do it I just ask the questions.. there are more Restaurants, Hotels, casinos and food truck than there are inspectors .. I’ve seen it personally for many years
Texas Papa@TexasPapa5

@RobertIrvine Start with the local and state health inspectors. In Dallas during the State Fair of Texas , the local inspectors will stop a vendor immediately for food violations

No normally a state only has funding for a certain amount of inspectors. It’s Almost impossible for them to hit every restaurant on a regular basis .. sad 😢 because stories like this one are way to often
Christopher R Taylor@KestrelArts

@RobertIrvine all those restaurants you and Ramsay used to go to where the storage looked like a garbage dump. How do they get away with it for so long?? Where were the inspectors, were they just paid off???

She didn’t sit on a throne. She didn’t pass laws. But every single day, she decided who would eat—and who would not. For most of human history, power didn’t just live in palaces. It lived in kitchens, in rough hands kneading dough before sunrise, in women who turned raw grain into survival. Bread wasn’t just food. It was control. In ancient Egypt, bread functioned as currency—used to pay the laborers who built empires. In Rome, entire populations were kept calm with grain handouts. When bread disappeared, governments fell. Revolutions didn’t begin with speeches. They began with hunger. And inside the home, that power often belonged to women. The word “lady” comes from hlaf-dige—the “giver of bread.” Not symbolic. Literal. She controlled the storehouse. She rationed flour through winter. She decided how long supplies would stretch, who would be fed first, and what was saved for tomorrow. Quiet authority, but absolute. When crisis hit, that authority became even sharper. During wars, shortages, and economic collapse, women turned scarcity into survival. They stretched flour with whatever they had. They baked for neighbors. They created entire support systems out of ovens and shared recipes. No titles. No recognition. But communities lived or died by what they could produce. Even today, that legacy hasn’t disappeared—it’s just evolved. Women running micro-bakeries, feeding neighborhoods, building income from their kitchens, creating networks that look small… but carry the same ancient truth: If you control the bread, you control survival. © Reddit #archaeohistories

I have learned over many years NOT to assume anything
easilyamused@testifyy

@RobertIrvine As a rodeo patron I would assume this sponsored booth would be safe. How many people looked the other way?

Well I’m glad the health department went there . But the leading question is how many times did they go there and how many months between inspections ????????? Emmm
KPRC 2 Bryce Newberry@KPRC2Bryce

JUST IN: Health inspectors found thawed seafood & food being stored in non-food grade orange buckets, according to records obtained by @kprc2, when a woman reported getting sick after eating Mama Tina's Gumbo. The customer said she had chills and was throwing up blood before health inspectors found multiple violations, which led to the temporary closure of the Houston Rodeo gumbo shop.

Talent will get you noticed, but discipline gets you paid. I've watched chefs with more raw skill than anyone quit because they couldn't stay consistent. Because their ability to show up and do the work was contingent on the promise of recognition or validation. The ones who meet with real, lasting success are able to do so because they're always doing their best, even when no one's watching. Excellence is their standard every day and they show up early, stay late, and do the hard things even when they don't feel like it. So: What's your standard? #MondayMotivation
