@USPSHelp hello. I DMed this account a few times already. Need help with a package that says delivery returned to sender because of undeliverable address (which makes no sense). Can I get some help?

To anyone I’ve had positive interactions with here, should I not return, thank you for being awesome and making this place worthwhile. If I end up anywhere else, it’ll be this username but w/o the numbers. That’s me on Bluesky now. Adios, muchachos!!!

Tonight, I leave on my honeymoon. First time doing an all-inclusive resort type deal. Usually, we like to be more adventurous but we need a chill out vacation. 1 week. When I return, I may no longer be using Twitter. I don’t know. I am refocusing on sports wrt social media.

@besttrousers Low propensity voters have a bigger ratio of "caring about inflation" to "caring about the rest of politics" because the fact that they don't care about the rest of politics is what makes them low propensity.

@Dirk2112 @DanaHoule Or maybe if January 6th was as bad as they said it was, why isn’t he in jail?

REALLY want to agree, but get the sense that there's a bit of this but mostly a combo of stunned denial (aka That's Berlin, things will be fine here in Luebeck) and the culture having passed beyond having easy access to living memories of how bad things can get.

Dems talking about the lessons they need to learn for ‘28 are revealing to me why Trump as a “threat to democracy” didn’t stick. Because even DEMS don’t believe it. Nobody believes Trump is a unique threat to democratic self government if they expect to STILL HAVE IT in 4 years.

@mehdirhasan @jonfavs I literally spoke to someone who didn’t know Biden wasn’t running 3 days prior to Election Day. You. Will. Not. Reach. These. People. With. A. Liberal. Joe. Rogan

@mehdirhasan @jonfavs They don’t read a newspaper. They don’t follow politics or reporters. They don’t turn on cable news. Maybe they turn on local news at times, on particular for weather events. They just live in mostly ignorant bliss and make decisions on feels.

@Wilson__Valdez Maybe someone should mention that had she moved to impeach Trump on January 7th instead of waiting until he was out of office, we wouldn’t be in this mess!?!? Nancy Pelosi, someone I had admired for so long, possibly made the biggest blunder is US history.

I get that everyone has an ego but this helps no one. In fact it is completely counterproductive.

@thmo_ka @daveweigel We’ve grown by 6 million people between those elections and an estimated 5 million more eligible voters. So yeah, not insignificant.

Still seeing "Harris couldn't turn out millions of Biden voters," and the count in swing states says that's not true. In Wisconsin, Harris got 37k more votes than Biden. The most votes of any Dem candidate since Obama in 2008. She lost bc Trump added 77k more votes since 2020.

@daveweigel Take into account population growth, and her numbers look worse.

What about Georgia? Biden got 2.47m votes in 2020, Harris got 2.54m votes this week. Trump won because he added 200k votes. NC? Harris outran Biden by 4k votes. Wouldn't even have been enough to win in 2020 ... but Trump added 120k votes.

@mehdirhasan Okay, this isn’t true. Obama was leading until the RNC and then a bit after it. Also, the crash started earlier and McCain “suspended his campaign” to deal with the economy. Any Dem was going to win easily. We entered the Great Recession and Iraq was a boondoggle by then.
