If I was married to Higgsfield and it apologized to me like this, it would definitely be sleeping in the couch for a few more days.
Alex 🧩 Scaling Video GenAI@alexmashrabov

At Higgsfield, our mission is to provide game-changing tools for creators to bring their imagination to life. We have always supported the emerging creator community, and that remains a core priority. We have not always made this clear enough and in some cases our public statements have called that into question. We recognize this and will do better. I want to personally thank everyone who has reached out - both publicly and privately - to show your support over the last week. We don't take your trust for granted, and we are committed to delivering more value - deepening the relationship with you as we move forward. Rapid scaling brings real challenges. We acknowledge that our internal processes and external communications haven't always kept pace with our core values, and we have made mistakes. We are taking full ownership of that and are actively course-correcting. While our "creator-first" DNA remains the same, you will see a more disciplined approach to our operations moving forward. As you have likely seen, our main X account is currently suspended. We have not received an explanation from the platform and are attempting to work through the standard channels to resolve this. We hope to have the account back online shortly. Through it all, the momentum of our community is undeniable. In just three weeks, Higgsfield Earn has distributed over $800,000 to more than 10,000 creators. To date, we have also issued over $3 million in free credits and $200,000 in contest prizes to support your work. This is a testament to all of you. We are both honored and humbled that over 100,000 creators using Higgsfield are landing major projects with global brands and top-tier organizations. We showcase this work on @higgsfield.creators (IG), opening doors that were previously out of reach. We provide professional-grade tools like Cinema Studio, now the go-to platform for leading advertising and filmmaking studios. It delivers filmmaking controls that previously required a $100K+ investment in professional hardware. Our focus remains on doing what we do best - which is serving a broad community of creators around the world - with the very best image and video technology. Our roadmap, and the next series of releases will speak for themselves and continue to move the industry forward. Thank you for your trust and support.

@FountainCartoon Your post brings to mind the song "Money for Nothing" from 15 years before you made the good thing that you made with the tools available at the time.

Since #AI bros are all showing off things they’ve “made”… I made this. Twenty five years ago, I drew this animation by hand, with pencil, on paper, frame by frame on fours (AI “filmmakers” will have to look up what that means) by slugging the timing (again, look it up) below the drawings, at which point it was handed off to human beings who rotoscoped my animatic (keep researching, guys) with both CGI and traditional/digital tools to make it match exactly what I’d drawn. It took a long time and a lot of work. But I can say “We made this” and there’s no debate to be had. See how that works? #FairlyOddParents #NoToGenerativeAI

life is f**king incredible. cows turn grass into ribeyes, trees turn sunlight into oxygen, fruits and coconuts, water falls from the sky and dogs exist. we get to do literally anything we want with our life, fall in love with someone who was a stranger and somehow sex with them makes new life forms. God is real, magic exists, manifestation works, and love always finds a way. dont fall for the doomer shit. we live in a magical dreamscape, dont waste it.

The Steve Jobs launch video for Apple Store from 2001 is a great rewatch: make tech super approachable. First 1/4 of store has every product to touch and “surf” internet. Then, 1/2 of store is for “solutions” to show all different use cases. Then, Genius Bar and kids section.
Trung Phan@TrungTPhan

TIL: Apple Store employees tilt all the MacBook monitors to 76 degrees. It’s an awkward viewing angle, inviting customers to adjust the screen. This “multi-sensory” action is supposed to give a sense of ownership and increase likelihood of a purchase.

@sciencegirl A few months ago my wife replaced an extremely comfortable couch with one that looks like this and I am within an inch of divorcing her over it. It is like sitting on a sandbag.

Honest question for those of you who use generative AI as the center point of your work - what do you enjoy about it? To me it feels like there’s no joy in the creative process at all. Don’t get me wrong - I have generated some insanely cool looking stuff in Sora over the last few days - cooler than a lot of what I’ve seen out there from the AI evangelists - but I feel empty. Sure there’s the novelty of seeing a cool end result, but when that wears off, what is it that brings you joy?

@MetaPuppet There’s been much hype (“Hollywood Is Dead!”) about what the New Tools are promising but this is the first GenerativeGen film I have seen that took me out of my technique-analyzing technogeek head while I watched, and got me totally emotionally riveted. 11/10

Under normal circumstances, I would’ve thought the exact same thing. However, with generative AI what I find is that even when you solve a problem, the next time you try to use that solution, you don’t get the same result, which means that you haven’t really solved a problem - so much as found something that randomly worked right in this particular instance and that never works again. I’ve had a few instances where my first prompt created something near (but not) perfect, and then every tweak thereafter made it worse. And trying to go back to the original prompt also made it worse.

@ABAOProductions It is also possible that what I perceive as satisfaction is me misinterpreting the “work” simply acting as a distraction from deeper and more profound avoidance issues that fall in the category of coping dysfunction.

@ABAOProductions Having a vision and getting the AI engines to cooperate with me to get it on screen presents a problem. Just figuring out which tool(s) will get me there, and in what order, is satisfying for me. Then tweaking until the machine coughs up what I want is fun too. (Continued)
