⭕️ Most AI adoption fails not because the tech doesn’t work, but because there’s no clear business case. Harnessing AI helps you create policies, training, ROI measures, and governance so AI delivers value instead of chaos. amazon.co.uk/stores/Rob-May…

⭕ I recently shared something a little different. A children's storybook version of how @ramsac_ltd approaches AI, from the first conversation through to the tools running quietly in the background months later. The post didn't generate hundreds of comments. But it did something I find more interesting. Several people messaged me privately, or brought it up in conversation, to say it was the clearest explanation of what we actually do that they'd come across. That tells me the format worked, even if it didn't go viral. So I've taken the same story and turned it into a short video with sound. Same characters, same journey, a little more life to it. If you lead a business and you're trying to work out where AI fits, what good implementation actually involves, and what it looks like when someone stays alongside you rather than just switching something on, this is worth two minutes of your time.

⭕ In the early hours of Monday morning, England play Mexico in the World Cup, and inevitably most of the conversation will be about the players. Who starts, who scores, who makes the difference, who has the moment of brilliance. But football is rarely just about individual talent. It’s about the system around the talent. It’s about preparation, coaching, decision making, adaptability and whether a group of very capable people can actually perform together when it matters. And I think there’s a lesson there for AI. Lots of organisations have now bought the players. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and all the other tools are already on the pitch. But buying AI licences doesn’t mean the business is suddenly transformed, any more than signing talented footballers guarantees you a trophy. The real question is whether those tools are being coached into the business. Are people using them well? Are the best examples being shared? Are workflows being redesigned? Are repetitive tasks being removed? Are teams learning from each other? Is anyone measuring whether AI is genuinely saving time, improving service or creating value? That’s where AI adoption gets difficult, and it’s also where the opportunity sits. The businesses that get the best return from AI won’t simply be the ones that buy the most technology. They’ll be the ones that integrate it properly into the way their people actually work. That’s why I think the future of the MSP is changing. It’s no longer enough to manage devices, networks, servers and security. Businesses now need AI specialists who can work alongside their teams, understand the reality of their processes, build practical use cases, improve them over time and help turn AI from a collection of clever tools into measurable business value. At @ramsac_ltd, that’s why we’re investing in forward deployed AI engineering and the best AI talent in the market. Because the opportunity isn’t just installing AI. It’s embedding it. In football and in AI, systems usually beat stars. Come on England ⚽ #Fıfaworldcup

⭕ I love this whiteboard sketch which tells you a bit more about me and what I do. It was generated very quickly and simply using this great prompt in Copilot. It's a WorkIQ Persona Sketch prompt which is designed to help you better understand and visualise your work. It helps you build a practical persona sketch from your recent work patterns so you can understand how you spend time, collaborate, and where your focus is strongest. "Create a photorealistic image in a clean cartoon whiteboard sketch style that visualises my work life. Include what I do, who I work with, my role, my values and what's important to me. I've attached a headshot so you can guide the sketch of me at the centre. Ground your research in Work IQ and the public profile for me on LinkedIn. The graphic should be rich in information. For any avatars of the people I work with, avoid guessing and put a generic icon in place or find their actual profile pictures." Give it a go and let me know if you agree with the output.

⭕ Most businesses are treating the DUAA (Data Use and Access Act) as a compliance checkbox. In my opinion that's the wrong way to look at it. The DUAA is the biggest change to UK data law since GDPR landed in 2018, and while the headlines have focused on simplification, there's more to it than that. Yes, there's greater flexibility in areas like automated decision making and international data transfers. But alongside that flexibility comes higher accountability expectations, stronger enforcement powers, and a mandatory internal complaints process that organisations need to have in place by June 2026. That last point is worth sitting with. A formal, documented and auditable process for handling data-related complaints before they reach the ICO. If you don't have that ready, you're already behind. Waiting for your legal team to update a policy document isn't a strategy. Data governance is a leadership issue, not an IT or compliance one. The DUAA touches employee information, recruitment, customer data, monitoring practices and privacy. Get it right and you build trust. Get it wrong and the reputational cost is far harder to recover from than any fine. The flexibility the DUAA offers is genuinely useful. But flexibility without accountability is just risk wearing a different name. So, are you treating this as a compliance task, or as an opportunity to strengthen how your organisation handles data?
