@ChrisMNovak Agree with that parallel. It felt like the series finale of a 40-year era.
Kinda like a rebuilding team, I need time before I can really gauge the product/jump back in.
Especially if storylines are kinda on hold for basically an exhibition event.

@JustHickman @EmSheDoesIt I appreciate that take, but I'm gonna stick with a definition that allows Wille Nelson and Dolly Parton's songs to exist.
And Kacey Musgraves. She's pretty great, too. Newer work but old-school style.
English

@roeyhadar @EmSheDoesIt The only correct answer is Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson! That's the only country song that should exist.
English

@zackbeauchamp I thought his profession was "CEO, entrepreneur, born in 1964." I was sure @boburnham was right!
English

@clintonyates Now that's the ultimate mystery. But walk into a team store, sporting goods store, etc., they're everywhere.
Not even much or any cheaper than the real deal either!
English

@roeyhadar fair enough, but I will never understand why they even exist.
English

@clintonyates Lol I wish! I have one, an A-Rod one no less, mostly because it was a gift my mom got me when I was 9 years old.
It's adult sized so it still fits, and I mostly use it because I want to wear a jersey but don't want to pay a ton for another one.
English

@johnhollinger Gotta think the K-Mart vs. Stromile Swift NJ vs. Vancouver matchup had to be less hyped than this!
English

@coco_chatel Ah yes, Christopher Moltisanti, expert on Czechoslovakians.
Best scene of the whole show youtube.com/watch?v=vaeL1W…

@coco_chatel Also I'm still not sure this story beats the one I learned about years ago with the Polish meat market in Greenpoint where "hot kielbasa" was the code for the cocaine nymag.com/intelligencer/…

@spolich77 @WomensGameMIB @trinity_rodman @AlyssaNaeher I've gotta say she was completely in the zone otherwise. No interaction with anybody (other players, mascot kids, etc.), no smile anywhere (including in the pregame shot.)
She was so focused but immediately lit up once she realized Trinity had jumped on top of her for a hug.
English

Trinity Rodman couldn't let the opportunity of hugging her favorite Uncle Naeher go by 🥰

@SarahSpain Train really has some downright criminal lyrics in pretty much all of their songs.
Maybe it's just for me as a Jewish guy, but the non-sequitur of "She'll think I'm Superman, not super minivan. How could you leave on Yom Kippur?" from "50 Ways to Say Goodbye" is *almost* as bad.
English

@stacycay Lol this actually was the Jordan-era NBA. Just an absolute rock fight from the days where they'd play 48 minutes just to have both teams score in the 70s.
Maybe I'm just a tortured soul but I love it.
English

@wagesofwins Really, really good coaching. Hall of Fame-level. If I had to try to explain it: a ton of hustle, several Swiss army knife-type players who can hit 3's, & one really, really good defense anchored by one really, *really* good defender.
Liberty needed every bit of that superteam.
English

For me, this is the story of the series.
Liberty built a team of superstars. The players they chose were obvious.
Cheryl Reeve built a team that was just as good. And I am pretty sure no one in the media can explain coherently how she did it.

“You don’t have to have a super team. There are different ways to do it” - Cheryl Reeve about the Minnesota Lynx run.
English

@jennatonelli I feel like there are at least a couple players on that team who are gonna take that as a challenge lol
English

@Julian28157896 @trinity_rodman @SpiritSquadron Yes, there is video. Trinity really got into it.
And @CroixBethune joined the party.
