@rushicrypto When I was at school I was taught that the dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago.
That must mean they went extinct 65,000,040 years ago, now.
People are losing it after watching the dinosaur documentary on Netflix because of the amount of time ago that the dinosaurs were here.
Modern humans are about 300,000 years old. I will die on this hill when I tell you that the vast majority of people don’t understand the concept of the longevity of the earth at this point.
@jensonanderton@AaronDikos@russell_m@LeVeonBell Amateurish. I used play chess by myself whilst attempting to mimick the styles of famous players. The famous players then played in tournaments where I recorded the moves and results in a notebook. If you are going to be autistic, done it properly.
@Coffey3C1@H0H0v Yep, all those sequence questions are flawed. One could put any value in next and then produce a set of rules that matches the created sequence.
I'm not a brilliant mathematician by any measure, but I do find that a lot of these 'Problems' that are posted rely on assumptions, which have never actually been specified in the problem. One of the worst of them are the questions where they ask to complete a series... and they give 1,2,3, and 5... and people complete as if 4 is there, when there is not specification that suggests anything other than '5' is the fourth number. Poorly prepared problems also teach lessons I suppose; however, for people like me, without any great mathematical acumen, it's... a frustration... trying to figure out just how I may be an idiot.
I can understand the estimate being something close to four, but unless you know that the angle/corner of the larger square lies precisely at the center of the smaller one, it does not seem like there is enough evidence to calculate. "Four," is an estimate, and by eye, it is a good one, but it is not a calculation.
I suppose I missed something in class all those years ago?
@TouchlineX In 1898 Derby County played their last 4 league games in 5 days, 4 days before playing in FA Cup Final. 6 players played all 5 games. No subs.
2 is the only even prime.
But the total number of primes is infinite.
Therefore the probability that a given prime number is even is 1 over infinity, or zero.
Hence it’s impossible for a prime number to be even — and hence 2 does not exist.

@simongerman600 Surely this stat has massive selection bias to it . If you have the test it is because you don’t want to a DS kid. If you don’t have the test it is because you don’t care if the kid has DS or not. Surely the stat you are after is % of pregnancies that are tested for DS
