To evaluate the claim of "indecisiveness" in the current Canadian position, it is necessary to examine the @CPC_HQ shift toward advocating for total military escalation and regime change since the expansion of the conflict in late February 2026. The following timeline details the specific policy positions and statements from CPC leadership that demonstrate a commitment to unconditional military support, often bypassing traditional diplomatic or legal constraints. 👉 March 10, 2026: During a House of Commons debate following the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran (Operation Epic Fury), Pierre Poilievre explicitly moved the party's position from defense to active regime change. He stated: 👉 "Conservatives support the United States, Israel, and our allies across the region to defend their sovereignty and dismantle the clerical military dictatorship of Iran." 👉 March 10, 2026: @PierrePoilievre further criticized the Prime Minister for expressing "regret" over civilian casualties in Tehran, characterizing any acknowledgment of international law as "flipping and flopping" and a failure to recognize the "existential necessity" of the strikes. 👉 March 9, 2026: Deputy Leader @MelissaLantsman provided a justification for unlimited escalation. During the emergency debate on the regional flare-up, she argued that the outcome justifies the military methods: "By any means necessary, if this regime is one step closer to being toppled, I think that is a good day for western democracy and it is an even better day for human history." 👉 March 9, 2026: Lantsman also addressed the G7 coordination efforts, labeling the pursuit of a unified diplomatic front as a "humiliating game" that signaled weakness to adversaries, suggesting that Canada’s only viable role was immediate and total alignment with U.S. military command. Pre-March 2026: Foundation of Unconditional Support 👉 February 2026: The CPC caucus effectively blocked Bill 233, which aimed to close "transfer loopholes" that allow Canadian-made military components to be shipped to Israel via the United States. CPC MPs argued that any restriction on these transfers would constitute a "betrayal of our closest ally" during an active conflict. 👉September 21, 2025: When the Canadian government formally recognized the State of Palestine, the CPC issued a statement dismissing the recognition as a "dangerous distraction" and a "reward for the atrocities of October 7." 👉July 2025: As 26 international partners called for an "immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire," the CPC remained the only major party in Canada to formally oppose the measure. The party line emphasized that a ceasefire was a "victory for the IRGC" and Hamas. 👉March 18, 2024: The CPC voted unanimously against a motion to suspend arms exports to Israel. Michael Chong (Foreign Affairs Critic) maintained that there was no credible evidence of war crimes that would necessitate a pause in military cooperation. Fact-Check Summary: The CPC Strategic Position Analysis of these statements reveals a consistent three-pronged strategy that contrasts with the G7 statement Baber criticized: 👉Prioritizing Decisive Force: The CPC views diplomatic "restraint" as a tactical failure. Their rhetoric since March 10, 2026, suggests they view the current conflict as an opportunity for total regime change in Iran. 👉Rejection of Multi-Lateralism: The party consistently frames G7 consensus and UN-led legal frameworks as "weakness" when they conflict with the immediate military objectives of the U.S. or Israel. 👉Domestic Framing: By calling the government "weak," the CPC is positioning itself as the party of "unconditional alliance," where military support is not contingent on international humanitarian law or de-escalation milestones.

@Lindahill2climb Is that what I said? Reading is fundamental. I know you’ll disagree but the video wasn’t ‘someone eating an apple’ it’s Conservatives that adopted the apple as a trophy. For many it was about the arrogance and the bullying, he just happened to be eating an apple at the time.

Bonus Reality Check: The Cannabis Hypocrisy 🌿 For anyone claiming Pierre Poilievre is the ultimate libertarian, let’s look at the exact transcript from the podcast when the topic of legal weed came up: 🎙️ Rogan: (Explaining why the US needs to legalize cannabis) "It's not heroin, it's not opiates." 👔 Poilievre: (Nodding along) "Well, the bottom line is if you cannot trust a man to govern himself, how can you trust him to govern for others?" It's a great philosophical quote. Just one problem: he didn't believe a word of it when it actually mattered. When Joe Rogan was fighting for legalization, his "pro-freedom" guest was fighting to keep marijuana a criminal offense in Canada. Before the “you think I'm lying” comments, check the parliamentary record. 🧾 The Receipts (Hansard): The Votes: Pierre Poilievre repeatedly voted AGAINST Bill C-45 (The Cannabis Act) to legalize recreational weed. He pressed the NAY button at the 2nd reading, the 3rd reading, and on the final amendments. (See: House of Commons Vote Nos. 312, 399, and 427). The Debate: During the debates on Bill C-45, the official Conservative platform entered into the record was that legalization would "make homegrown marijuana more accessible to children" and help "organized crime." Fast forward to today: Cannabis is a heavily regulated, multi-billion-dollar legal industry. The sky didn't fall. And now, Poilievre sits in Rogan’s studio—where Joe literally smokes on air—paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson about "trusting a man to govern himself." You can’t claim to be the ultimate freedom candidate while holding a voting record that supported giving Canadians criminal records for a joint. He loves curated truth. 📊🇨🇦

@MarinaC34558 Did nothing because he was still up against Trudeau, Canadians wanted change badly by this time and when Carney came along they were relieved they had a better alternative to Poilievre.

@roglfac Doesn't take much for them to get carried away. Poilievre was himself with Rogan, just a more polished version, for now. It was still an alpha male bro vibe that'll turn off most woman. I tried watching, gave up after 23 minutes as my head started to hurt.

I just sat through the entire 2-hour and 23-minute @joerogan Experience interview with @PierrePoilievre you don't have to. ⏱️ Yes, I survived the deep dives into Russian kettlebell history, 90s kickboxing, and Bobby Orr's knees to extract the actual political substance. Between the MMA tangents, Poilievre dropped a bunch of claims. Some are actually spot-on (yes, it happens even with Poilievre), some are missing massive context, and a couple directly contradict his own record. I’m bringing the receipts. 🧾 Over the next 5 posts, we are going to reality-check: 🔍 The Top 3 biggest testable claims 🩴 2 major political flip-flops Buckle up. Thread below 🧵👇

Careful @FlavioEvan pointing out truths to @FrankCaputoKTN may result in a block. That’s what I got 🤷🏻‍♂️
Flavio E.@FlavioEvan

Dude (MP), it’s a bit rich to lecture a Minister on "acting like it" when your own House Leader is busy treating a global war like a pirate movie. While the world watches a major crisis in the Middle East and a mounting death toll in Iran, Andrew Scheer is using a $1,200,000+ taxpayer-funded budget to produce Jack Sparrow memes. It’s hard to see the "leadership and substance" in using public funds for movie GIFs at a volatile global breaking point. If we're talking about acting like serious leaders, we should probably start with the officials who treat international security like a punchline for their base. Between your own $769,158 in annual expenses (ranking you among the highest spenders in the House) and your House Leader's massive office budget, Canadians are paying nearly $2.5 million a year for these two offices alone. For that kind of money, we deserve a serious alternative, not "dude" comments and movie clips. It’s time to move past the performance and get back to the actual work of governing. Taxpayer Impact Comparison (2025-26): Hon. Andrew Scheer (House Leader): $1,461,400+ Total (Salary + Office Budget) Frank Caputo (Shadow Minister): $972,258+ Total (Salary + Billed Expenses) Combined Annual Cost: $2,433,658+ (Source: House of Commons Proactive Disclosures and Members' Expenditure Reports)
