@TheEthanDing @ivanburazin @insight Yeah, context is everything. If you split new/expansion, higher expansion ratios are expected. Usage/hybrid contracts also change the comp math. IMO it's more showing the back-of-envelope math with reps so high quotas feel attainable. they're probably just overreacting to the #

Was looking at hiring enterprise AEs. Everyone we interviewed wanted 3x quota. We plan to 10x this year. If we scale through sales, I'd need hundreds of people. Factor in onboarding, handholding, plus support and product team and suddenly you're not making money for 5 years. @elevenlabs solves this by asking their sales team to do 20x quota. $100K base = $2M annual target 80% of their reps hit quota and there's no need to have 1,000 folks even at their scale.

@rohan_irl @OnlyCFO It's not specifically 'time bound' like for a quarter or a month - more of a rolling sentiment, with responses to the question 'how many of your peers in your role typically hit quota'. So adding the last day of the Q won't materially change the result.

Startups (headcount of 1-50): Had the least volatility amongst the company segments. Headcounts 250 - 10K: Had the most severe drop in attainment % over this period of time. This group probably over hired the most. Headcounts of 10K+: Less of a drop then the previous group
