Along with many others, I will never understand why this evidence was not allowed to be led in court; it reeks of possible interference.
It also throws a dark shadow over the ongoing consequences of the anonymity order. That must now be lifted and a full police investigation should follow.

As I believed when I first raised this in Parliament, there was clearly a conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice involving members of the SNP and SNP government that led to the trial of Alex Salmond.
Since then successive SNP governments have run a serial cover up, suppressing evidence over and again, assisted by the compromised state of the Scottish prosecutorial system.
It is high time there was a proper police investigation by an independent police force beyond the control of the SNP.

Viktor Orban didn’t cancel any elections and never arrested people for social media posts. He also stepped down after his election loss and is partaking in a peaceful transfer of power.
But, don’t forget, he was a dictator.
Keir Starmer attempted to cancel about 1,000 local council elections next month and arrests about 12,000 people a year for social media posts. He also refused to let a rival run for a seat in a by-election because he was worried it would be a threat to his leadership.
But, don’t forget, he’s a democratic leader.
