@Richyfarrissey @seannieb84 @officialgaa It is your choice to play for the club and often because you feel some benefit from it. The people running the club aren't benefiting from some fella playing for the club. If a lad doesn't play gaa and wants to keep fit, he could have to pay a gym 50-75 a month.

@seannieb84 @officialgaa These aren't hotel gyms and some are just thrown together, remember it's the management that want you doing the gym work it's the club looking for you to be putting in these hours

@juliancanny @DanielHussey2 They could have changed it for this year instead of waiting until next year. It was clear that it is a format with little jeopardy & should never have been brought in. Those who produced that format must have no grasp of basic maths. It's not that difficult.

Absolutely! It’s nothing to do with who lives in the constituencies the council offices are in. It’s EVERYTHING to do with the Country the Council Offices are in. The Union Flag the St George’s Cross and the Regional Flag. At all times for England. The same for Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Reform controlled English councils will move at speed to resolve that the *only* flags permitted to be flown on or in its buildings will be the Union Jack and the St George’s flag. No other flags will be permitted to be flown on its flag-poles, balconies, reception desks or council-chamber walls. 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@Patrici26413147 @Independent_ie Eurovision has a large viewership in Ireland and for quite a number of people is the only thing the watch on Rte. She won the public vote and alot of countries have foreign artists performing for them.

Another electrifying hurling contest in Parnell Park. A seven goal classic. John Hetherton a hurling Godzilla. Sean Currie, Brian Hayes phenomenal for Dublin. Lee Chin immense in defeat for Wexford. Another thrilling 70 minutes that would have made compelling national TV viewing.

@DanielHussey2 Ice hockey is such a popular sport in this country!! With all the success our athletes are producing it should be a multi sport indoor track facility so our athletes don’t have to be training abroad as much as they do and give home based talent an opportunity to progress

Why is the national flag not at half-mast today in observance of Pope Francis's passing? Ireland is a Catholic nation, regardless of this government's attitudes towards those of Christian faith. All our national flags on state & government buildings must show a mark of respect for His Holiness Pope Francis. #RespectOurFaith #PopeFrancis #Ireland #RespectOurPeople

They even tried the "responsibility" framing; still a thumping majority for neutrality. Poll after poll has shown that most Irish people do not want to compromise neutrality, and it's mad that politicians & lobbyists are still pushing this. Via IPSOS/B&A for the Irish Times

@LaurenceTheBird @RuaidhriOC @RTEsport I would have to suggest the amount of coverage rugby gets between Rte, Tg4 and Virgin is way over board. How many people want to watch a rugby match between Scotland and Italy women for example.

@taxidamien @gavreilly Anyone who knows anything about referendum voting knows that if the yes side is not well over 50% the referendum is doomed. As people who oppose a referendum are likely to turn out to vote.

@BrophShane Fixtures should be looked at. Fixing Roscommon and Monaghan at 7.15 in croker is madness on a Saturday night especially when alot of ros supporters would have tickets for the rugby in Castlebar. There needs a bigger gap between league and championship.

What a miserable crowd for a National Football League final! Those in lead positions will bury their heads in the sand, to be bailed out by a sellout hurling final next week. Where was the promotion, discounted tickets etc...that could have got people to Croke Park #GAA
