How do you become Fortune 5? Vertically integrate @aetna @cvspharmacy CVSCaremark-PBM When you need a sterile antibiotic for an eye infection the insurance company says the service is worth $4.26, even though it costs $9.55 to acquire. Sends the entire payment responsibility to the patient in the form of a copay. But because they control the network and access to patients they own the claim to audit the pharmacy and best yet to send a bill to the payor for a multiple of what they said it was worth, this is called spread pricing. @AFergusonFTC @AAGSlater, seem fair?
