@meatymcsorley that is because grip strenght is directly connected to your overall hormonal panel and central nervous system fatigue

these longevity guys are so funny. they read a study about grip strength being a predictor for all-cause mortality and their conclusion is that if you train grip strength specifically you'll live longer

@Anongxkmpt @libertybelleX47 @newstart_2024 bacteria dont convert lactose they eat it->poop lactic acid. the remaining lactose correlates with freshness, a big tub sitting in your fridge has less over time. And the leftover lactose is half galactose anyway, which we metabolize poorly. It's barely usable sugar either way

RFK Jr. starts most mornings with steak for breakfast, a big bowl of grass-fed yogurt topped with cream, and a generous side of sauerkraut or kimchi. Zero carbs. Strict carnivore plus ferments only. He’s been eating this way for about 250 days. He shared on the pod that he was having atrial fibrillation every day for four months. A military doctor reviewed his MRI and saw visceral fat blanketing his heart, liver, and organs — and warned things would worsen. So he committed. After just 30 days on the diet, a follow-up MRI showed 40% less visceral fat. He lost 20 pounds of that hidden fat, then regained it all as muscle. The daily AFib disappeared completely — no skipped beats since. He’s quick to note that it worked powerfully for him, but our metabolisms are all different. It makes you wonder how much of our everyday fatigue or inflammation might quietly trace back to what ends up on the plate. What’s one food you’ve added (or removed) that noticeably shifted how you feel day to day — energy, mood, or anything else?

@libertybelleX47 @newstart_2024 what are the natural carbs in yogurt? yogurt is just bacterial colonies eating the lactose in milk, turns it into acidic and the acid separates the whey and fats, the fats coagulate and thats your yogurt, i dont see where the carbs would be

@jbsinmiel @Rustkolnikoff in small amounts yes, but if you eat many eggs, then those small amounts add up, he was saying that in relation to some peoples daily diet having upwards of 15 eggs a day

FaceIQ, a fairly large account that promoted carnivorism as optimal human nutrition has uploaded a new video: fruit juices (very appealing, he says) to replenish liver glycogen in the morning, milk with honey, not eating too many eggs because of the PUFAs, cronic ketosis is bad, etc. Wow. I suppose that as he is young he has been able to be more open-minded than other keto/carnivore promoters as Berry, Kay, Bikman, etc. @jonmunier @BerbarianWizard

keto vs high carb was tested on twenty competitive natural body builders. body composition, muscle strength and basal metabolic rate were measured before and after two months of intervention. -keto group had lower metabolic rate -high carb group progressed more on bench and squat -testosterone decreased in keto group -testosterone increased in high carb group -higher IGF-1 in the high carb group indicating anabolism PMID:33530512

@brwtoovey @PeptideList from what i read, most of the "inflammation" is just from oxidative stress. And another is from high Triglycerides.Going keto directly resolves those issues and circumvent them in the future. Ketones actively scavenge reactive oxygen species creating inflammation and suppress DeNL

@rotterdamaged @PeptideList you can read more on whole body process of DNL here pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC62…, it is systematic but focused in liver. inflammation caused by a variety of mechanisms but majority basis in excess dietary carbs leading to DNL. #sec9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12…

Everyone's talking about retatrutide for weight loss (28.7%). Almost nobody's talking about what it does to your liver. More than 80% reduction in liver fat. Over 90% normalization rates. In a body composition substudy from the Phase 3 program. 100 million Americans have fatty liver disease. Most don't know it. There's no FDA-approved treatment for it besides "lose weight and hope." Retatrutide's glucagon receptor activation appears to directly target hepatic fat metabolism not just as a side effect of weight loss, but as a primary mechanism. This isn't a weight loss drug that happens to help your liver. It might be a liver drug that happens to cause weight loss. Phase 3 weight loss data drops first half of 2026. Watch this space.

@brwtoovey @PeptideList is it persistent fat content systematically or just locally in the liver? isnt denovo lipogenesis just converting sugar in fat systemicaly? through what mechanisms is inflammation produced and what type of inflammation is it, why is the damage not healing properly and calcifying?

B@brwtoovey·
@rotterdamaged @PeptideList no. glycogen storage has an upper bound, after that the liver stores glucose through de novo lipogenesis as fat. persistent elevated fat content causes liver inflammation > damage > fibrosis.

@timpjohansson @CrossroadPilgrm @NocturnalNelly you dont, you restore glygocen via dairy.During excercise your muscle use less glygocen to do the same intensity and volume, via Muscle glycogen sparing. more of lactate enzyme converts back to glygocen too instead of turning into lactic acid. more of triglycerides are used too

@NocturnalNelly @timpjohansson Why would you cut all sugar it’s literally just glycogen, you lost fat that’s good and impressive but there was a doctor that lost many pounds just eating twinkies but staying under his caloric deficit and he was way healthier

@YeHzkl99 i mean, the depleted glygocen will have to be refilled because the liver required constantly 400g of glycogen at all times, plus the actual glygocen burned during high intensity is from intramuscular stores of glycogen, not from systemic glygocen

@Helios_Movement one thing i know about hair loss is that the body uses testo as anti inflammatory, is it really andro alopecia, or just higher topical inflamamtion leading to higher concentration of anti inflammatory testo that leads to higher dht concentration than intended?
