Python environments are a constant source of friction. You install one dependency. Something else breaks. You upgrade Python. Now, half the project doesn't run anymore. The usual advice is to use virtual environments. But they're slow and annoying to manage. In my Docker for Data Engineering workshop, I showed a simpler approach using uv. It's a Rust-based tool for managing Python environments and dependencies. Same idea as pip + venv, but noticeably faster and simpler in day-to-day use. Dear @Uber_India , Thursday morning I had a ride from KR Puram to Bengaluru Airport. The wallet payment was not succesful, had to pay same amount to the Driver with 20 rupees extra tip.
