Todd Golden said the officials told him Folgueiras threw a punch, but it "did not connect", so it was only a flagrant 1 (with no ejection). He is unsure why Condon also received a technical given he was fighting for ball.

@KevinScarbinsky B1G is loaded this year. Iowa plays tough physical D, had no real big men, but well coached. They got in Floridas head playing tight physical D. B1G like that every game. 10-10 in B1G this year better than other leagues due to loaded league.

No other way to say it. Totally embarrassing loss by Florida. You're the reigning champ. You're the 1 seed. You're playing in your home state. Against a 9 seed in Iowa with 12 losses that finished 9th in the Big Ten. You fall behind by 12. You storm back to take the lead. You can't hold it. You give up an open 3 to lose the lead with 4.5 seconds left. You turn the ball over on your last possession and don't even get a shot off. No repeat. No excuse.

@ali_peek It was reviewed. A couple replays clearly showed he went to hit ball out….after being tackled to the ground. If the 9th place B1G team with a little physical play got into Floridas head, imagine them trying to survive playing in the B1G. Fetal position.

Throwing a punch has always been an automatic ejection. Whether he hit Condon or not it’s not a basketball play and 7 should have been ejected.
