@RobAllan4 @CanadianModera1 I love how people bring up the NDP while the conservatives were literally in charge for like 50 years and never figured out how to break the cycle of dependence on oil prices...every year they are somehow surprised that there is a deficit when oil is low. Its embarasing

Andrew, since you work for a newspaper, you should ask for the transcripts of the call with the Prime Minister’s Office. There are two conflicting versions, and the PMO is notorious for not being fully forthcoming—especially when it comes to the United States. Counter-tariffs are a good example. Without the transcripts, it’s hard to know what actually happened.

I’m no fan of Secretary Howard Lutnik, not even remotely. That said, his assessment of the Canada–U.S. relationship is spot on. PM Carney’s current tone toward China is exceptionally risky.
