The future is looking bright for the Champaign County area. We have about 140 high school students interested in becoming teachers and finding out why education is the best profession.

“People have said, “Don’t cry” to other people for years and years, and all it has ever meant is “I’m too uncomfortable when you show your feelings: Don’t cry.” I’d rather have them say, “Go ahead and cry. I’m here to be with you.”

I love that story so much I used it as the theme of one of my graduation speeches a couple of years ago, got lots of positive feedback from that one.

Congratulations to Officer Carbajal on being named as the Officer of the Year for the Rantoul Police Department. We are very lucky to have him at RTHS.
