@CFCMJordan seems that since Liam started having full weeks between games, results have been worse than when there was a game every few days

Tbf to Liam – things have not been easy for him since he joined. He has his own ideas on how to play, like any coach does. Joining mid-season with a new game every 3 days has given him no time to work on tactics during training sessions. Even the training sessions we do have is mostly recovery sessions. And the games we play aren't exactly games where we can "try" new things without massive risk. Every Premier League game is a must win and every team can punish you for the smallest mistake. In the UCL we needed to win our last 2 games to make top 8 and when we did that, we drew PSG. In the League Cup we had 2 semi-final ties against Arsenal. The FA Cup has been the only time (3 games) in which he could do anything at all and those games has been sorely needed to rest first team starters who are knackered. One of them also came after he had been in charge for one day. There's an argument to be made that he should wait until the summer to make these changes but even that's difficult. Why? The World Cup is being played then – in which almost all of our players will participate. All this on top of the media having hounded him since day one. I still think this job has come too early for Rosenior (who undoubtedly has talent) but let's be fair – he's walked into an impossible situation. People love to say Maresca started a lot better and as much as the numbers do suggest that, there is also context that needs to be applied. For example, he had a full pre season to work on his ideas and make mistakes like he made against Celtic. Rosenior hasn't had that opportunity. Maresca also had the UECL where he got to rotate his entire XI with no risk. He also had an early eliminiation from both domestic cups. He had Colwill for the entire season, whereas Liam came into a low-confidence side and no Colwill in the middle of a mid-season rough patch. Maresca did really well here but it's hardly a like for like comparison between the two situations they arrived in.

Who remembers Chelsea vs Celtic in their first pre season under Maresca… 😅 Chelsea are in that stage now under Rosenior imo. The pain of changing systems mid season without time to work on it on the training pitch.

Perhaps, that PSG result broke something in the players because today it seemed more like a mental fatigue than a physical one.

Don't change the iPhone if the battery starts to drain. Don't change the iPhone if the battery starts to drain. Don't change the iPhone if the battery starts to drain. Apple intentionally set the default settings so that the battery drains quickly. After I played around with the settings myself, the battery now lasts from 6 hours to 10 hours. And this is the method:👇

On the 90th anniversary of the Spitfire let's remember Lucy, Lady Houston who donated the equivalent of £7,000,000 of her own money in 1931 to Supermarine to keep the Spitfire project alive "Every true Briton would rather sell his last shirt than admit that England could not afford to defend herself" 🇬🇧

@TheAdrianDurham if it was measured on where players' feet were only, none of this arm, knee, sleeve, head nonsense - it would be fine and easy and quick to figure out

We've put up with this garbage for years, some have even been persuaded to say "Offside is offside" to justify it. It was never meant to be measured scientifically. It's level in real football. So another new law will now happen. VAR - maximum interference for minimum benefit

@Blue_Footy I didn’t understand why Enzo was on the right and Neto on the left, no attacking fluidity

If we have to start Enzo on the left as a narrow winger that operates in the pocket, we absolutely can't have Gusto at LB. It defies every law of team balance in football. The left back must provide the width. Against Burnley, it looked like both Gusto and Enzo didn't want to be the guy. It made us less productive on the left. We have to trust Hato. He's the only reasonable option.

It’s wild how first-time Breaking Bad viewers see Walt as a sympathetic antihero worth rooting for. Rewatch it and you despise him from episode one. He was always an arrogant douchebag… you just didn’t notice.

One thing the situation in Iran has made crystal clear is that whichever country, regime, group or political ideology, no matter how vile, disgusting or repressive, however many people are massacred or exterminated, as long as they are anti-West, specifically anti-US (and by extension anti-Israel), they will have the unquestioning support of the majority of the liberal left and the entertainment world. The same “progressive left” who happily live in the west, profit from its relative freedoms, yet turn their activism on and off like a switch, or in some cases, even make a living out of it. It is disappointing and exhausting. But grateful to all those who have spoken out. Especially in the comedy community. It takes a lot of guts to do so when everyone around you is looking the other way.
