Good chart. Buy direct from the farm. Our pastured chicken did not increase anywhere near 34% in the last year. And you can't buy pastured chicken like ours in a store anyhow.

At a conference this weekend, I said we can’t treat Alberta separatism as a purely domestic development when the US has the capacity and potentially the will to interfere. Some Albertans reacted incredulously and said I was alarmist. I think we should be clear-eyed.

@LFSternnn @FoodProfessor the date that is on the package should be the date it was packaged. I will decide whether I buy it or not. There are other examples i.e. seafood / fish, never to buy if frozen for more than 3 months. In addition many store freezers are not reliable. check for freezer burns.

@FoodProfessor Best before dates are for marketing to promote throwing out food so they can increase sales ... if it can be prolonged by two, three, four times that date on the package then why dont they? They care about profits not consumers ... does that sound more plausible?
