Governor can maximum ask Mamata Banerjee to resign, but the Governor can never force her to do so. If Didi does not resign, the Governor can recommend President's rule. In that case, no political party will be able to remain as the ruler in Bengal. Again we have to face election in that case

While all cameras are fixated on the political earthquake in Bengal, a massive geographical shift has quietly solidified in the South.
By stepping in to support Vijay's TVK in Tamil Nadu, Congress has just played a strategic masterstroke. Look at the board Karnataka is theirs. Telangana is theirs. Kerala leans UDF. And now, a power share in Tamil Nadu.
Minus Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry, the entire southern peninsula has essentially slipped into Congress hands.
While the BJP violently breaches the East, the South has completely insulated itself. We are no longer looking at just state election results. We are looking at two completely different political Indias.
The 2029 battlelines have officially been drawn.

Thalapathy Vijay Joseph is a Christian but more importantly he is an Indian and a Tamilian. People voted for him and his party to be the single largest party to govern Tamil Nadu. Why should his religion be a concern?

@sumanthraman Instability may perhaps be best in the current scenario for the citizenry with direct guidance from the Centre due to inexperience required in many issues. Vijay would also go along as he faces little threat from the state unit.
How fast he learns on the job is another question.

Vijay does not need to form a majority Govt. He can be invited by the Governor to form the Govt and take a floor test and dare the DMK and AIADMK to vote him out. They wouldn't dare do this for now. My guess is if a floor test happens one group of MLAs may absent themselves to allow the confidence vote to pass. So theoretically he can run a minority Govt as long as the others won't join each other to vote him out.

Got it from a senior BJP leader in Delhi that the NDA is not inclined to create any issues for Vijay in Govt formation. The leader told me that they would be willing to help in whatever manner they can, if asked.
