Naming a car is so important. Get it wrong and it makes them souless. Call it something like a Star Wars robot or washing machine. They’re exactly that. What’s wrong with Passat?

@AutoPap I really dont think they care, the car is seen by the powers that be as evil and unnecessary (although they very much are) hence the pitiful state also pavements and how disgusting and filthy everything is kerbside hedgerows, signage all of it is embarrassing esp in Surrey

Election year in the UK. Does anyone know of any politician promising to sort out the dire road quality we have? Driving from Orlando to Daytona on what felt like silk, made me feel very upset about what we have to endure. Even India’s newer roads are better!

@_harrison_ @tomwookieford Problem I had with that brand was the dealers were rubbish near me. I wouldn’t buy another but that shouldn’t detract from what is a lovely car

the new Toyota Landcruiser 250 has me sold. Looks ace, has all the right 4x4 hardware, 5 or 7seats, split tailgate and lovely detail. Couple of engines for the UK, starting 45k+ base,with the 1st Edition 65. And a van variant as well… This or a LR Defender or Ineos Grenadier?

@AutoPap @tomwookieford i agree with the first part, value for money it's a non-contest but the new defender is (at least where I live!) mostly driven by people who have switched from a range rover/sport - feel they wouldn't buy a toyota no matter what!?

@harrym_vids Utterly glorious machines. My father’s had RR’s since the release of the L322, and while you can point to progress through the generations, the L322 has really stood the test of time. Modern classic. Will the L405 or L460 be revered as such? 🤔
